The Purpose of this is mostly to vent-but to new people reading-PLEASE buy extra batteries. You won't regret it and it will save your "sobriety" from real cigs. And DO NOT buy regular ciggs if you're trying to quit.
Sorry To those whove already listened to me rant about blowing up my spare battery, sorry. To those who haven't - I blew up my ONLY spare last week, and can't get one till this week, so have been supplementing my vaping with ciggs between charges. Been doing real good too-still down to 4-5 ciggs a day........considering my normal chainsmoking I can't whine too badly.
I woke up this morning to my home's normal chaos of kids/chainsmoking hubby/crazy people yelling at each other and noone being able to find clothing. Why? cause I forgot to get it out for them........noone looks in their dressers. Hubby included. Got everyone off to school/work. Battery died on ecig IMMEDIATELY after, so put on charger....about an hour later, had a cig. YAY-waited an hour!
ecig finishes charging, and I lay down for a nap after vaping a few (I work late-shift). Get up and think-cool, noone home. I'll clean kitchen and make lasagna for dinner so Skye doesn't have to cook!
Make coffee-coffemaker sparks-then dies. Crap. Can't replace it till tomorrow and there goes the little extra cash I would have had this week. And I gotta deal with coffeless hubby......but will live.
Ecig still going strong.
Go to clean stove.......notice something in the burner pan that looks like onions and macaroni noodles. Considering 16 year old cooks alot-not suprising. Still in a good mood. Put down ecig. Pull out gunky burner pan.......onion stuck. Go to pry it out AND SLICE MY FREAKING FINGER OPEN. Onion is a piece of glass gunked up with grease so bad it looks like food. I had no idea glass had been broken in my kitchen........now bleeding everywhere. 25 minutes later I have cut down to seeping and clean, but I'm fuming-beyond mad-cleaning blood out of white carpet, off counters/sinks/walls/floor - it was everywhere.
I looked at my ecig-had been puffing off and on-and thought, Hey-I need a REAL cigarette. I deserve it. My daughter would hate it......so I smoked three. In the middle of the last one I realized that that was the cigarette addiction talking-wow-never occurred to me that even with a full battery, the urge would hit me off-guard like that....I'm going to throw the darned things out now and see if I can just suffer through the battery issue till tomorrow. If the mail doesn't have my stuff, will go buy a few disposables to tough it out with....
My point? Do NOT try to quit smoking with cigarettes in the house. Chances are eventually you will fail. And feel pretty stupid........I always knew I was an addict-but wow.
