once you find your groove you will realize that you dont really need that.Everbody is different but after I got used to vaping full time I found it easy to know when to stop.sometimes I will hit it once or twice and put it back in my pocket.or like right now Ive been goin at it for a half hr.I like the fact I have control like that.especially when I dont have time to take a smoke break.A vape or two and back to business.I think it would be rather annoying to have the thing tell me when to stop anyway.I control the ecig.Better than being controlled by a real cig.Vape up!

True it would be interesting to see that but it wouldn't work because you have different strength E-Juice so if the e-cig was equipped with a monitor it would read the same for every nic strength, there for not being accurate.

Coming from the health field. Respiratory Therapist actually. I'm not talking about measuring the amount ie 24mg,16mg,etc of nicotine in a cartridge because we all smoke different amounts in analogs. Full,Light,Ultra, but rather what I am saying is an electronic puff counter to measure an approximate number of puffs the would roughly be considered when you just smoked 1 cigarette, or 2, 3, etc. Now some say with time you can gauge what your doing. Yeah its when your heart rate gets to racing, or you get dizzy, or nauseated. The fact is I like the vape more than cigs and last night I went a little to far continuously. I like to know how many cigs I've smoked in a row, but the fact is many Vapors (Us) may be taking in more nicotine (smoking more) than we did of our analogs. Thats why I said the creation of a counter like a beep (one cig= 1 beep,2cigs= 2 beeps, etc.) Then I would definately put it down for a bit.

Just a thought.

I like not having a end. I drive my truck all day with one hand on the wheel and the other on my Prodigy. Instead of stopping and smoking a cigarette I drive and take a couple hits every few minutes. For me if I had that indicator I would feel like I had to vape until it told me to stop. I feel like I have more freedom just vaping the way it is.

same here =D

Since smoking a E cig there is no end like you have when you light a analog cigarette I think it would be really nice if the E-Cig had like an internal monitor so to speak that could beep, or something when you had smoked what would be equivalent to one cig...

Paul
That was one of the things I thought I would miss when I started but it didn't take long till I wanted nothing to be like the analog. In the beginning I ordered everything white, tried to hold it like a cig and even used an ashtray! I thought I would miss the beginning and end but I don't.

If mine beeped at me it would be much harder to stealth vape. Maybe you could count how many draws you've taken. What, about ten to a cigarette? Vape ten times then put it down.

I know I don't vape the same way I smoked. I usually vape a few then put it down. Pick it back up again in a few minutes and repeat. I rarely take ten drags in a row like I would with a cigarette.

IMHO it makes more sense that vape cigs don't limit your smoking or even give you a measure of how much you smoke. I'm not sure but I'm guessing the longer you hold in the vapor the more of the nico gets absorbed and that also depends on the concentration you are using, etc...
I guess my point is, you should know when to stop, your brain should be able to keep track...

When I smoked analogs there were times when I only wanted one drag, and other times where I literally chain smoke multiple cigarettes in a row by lighting the following cigarette w/ the cherreh from the previous one....

Just some food for thought...

As an engineering type I have the perfect answer.

Tiny batteries that only last as long as one cig would normally last you.

Carts to match the battery size.

You'd have to change out for each cig when smoking, so the same for the PV. You could count the pile of discharged batteries and empty carts at the end of your session like counting butts.

It's perfect for those who fixate on such matters.

I'll stick with my 18650 batts though. I like going longer than a cig. I don't care how many I smoke then or now. I can easily tell when my nic level us up long before racing hearts or tummy aches.

Ten elongated drags from an e-cig for me is a cigarette. I vape as if I were smoking, that way I control the nicotine intake (and of course how long supplies last me). I sometimes find that I haven't finished my 'cigarette' in over half an hour! That's how slow I vape sometimes. In short, I do not want nor need any sort of alarm going off in my e-cig to alert me when I smoked a cigarette for I know when I smoked one. I smoked thousands of conventional cigarettes, so I know approximately how long it takes a cigarette to burn, and how I smoked them.

I don't think my nicotine level has gone up; if anything, it has probably gone down. When I light a cigarette, at $6/pack I don't waste it. Whether I really want the whole thing or not, I will smoke the whole thing. With my eGo, I take one or two or whatever puffs just when I want it, and don't feel compelled to smoke a cigarette's worth at any given time.

I am still waiting on my juices, but when I first tried my PV with the AWFUL juice that came with it, I went WAYYY overboard and ended up with a pounding headache. Solution? I ordered 6mg juice (I started with 18mg). Hopefully it comes today, and I'll see if that helps...I'm still a n00b, so I'm not sure if I'll even like it, but I'm giving it a try. So...if you're concerned about over-vaping because of nic intake, and you know you're a heavy vaper, maybe just get a lower-nic juice?

Well, if you drip you can get a very similar effect of the beginning and end.
Drip 2 or 3 drops on your atomizer and it will go about 10-15 puffs. When you get the dry taste, you've smoked about a cig.

ymmv

Yep, that was what I was gonna say. I bunch of people do this to regulate how much they are vaping. It works for me even with a cartomizer. I just use a drip tip and when the taste goes down I set it down.
