This is a repost from the Lounge, since I want to thank everyone on the forum, not just those who know who I am.

I am one year tobacco-free. I couldn't have done it without you. All of you! You have been here for me, whether by interacting with me personally or by posting comments that have answered my questions, sometimes questions I didn't even realize I had. There are too many to whom I owe a special debt of gratitude to thank individually, but you know who you are. You put up with my never ending questions, my incomprehension, my freak-outs and my opinionated rawrs. Thank you for holding my hand, keeping me on path, and yes...sorry distractors...for convincing me to get a ProVari. Most of all, I want to thank you for not reporting my snarky comments more often.

Thank you also to all the mods, who keep this forum a place to share knowledge and ideas without fear of being bullied.

I may never change the world, but I may touch someone who will.

My actual quit date was earlier, but I chose August 10th as my official date because it was the birthday of a very close friend who died far too young from lung cancer. Her name was Krysia (Kristianne) Kocjan-Haber. This is one of her songs:

That's a milestone worth celebrating! Whatcha gonna to buy?

Well, just bought a mini Davide and its 3ml big brother. Although, I'm intrigued by the nice wooden box mod you posted earlier! That is a thing of beauty! But I should treat myself, right? :p Also just adopted a nice new kitten, she is a beautiful little marbled Bengal. I've been meaning to post some photos as I thought you would appreciate her.

I think the more important question is what did you buy to celebrate your one year anniversary?

I got the wooden box mod. I got it as a show piece, not intending to use it very much, but then I discovered I like bottom-feeding. That created a problem though, because while the wooden one works brilliantly, it's...ummm...made of wood. I can't take it anywhere, I'd wreck it. So for my other quit date (ECF won't make me a veteran until next week), I got a Reno mini.

ETA: I want to see your kitty!

CONGRATS, OCELOT!
:D

I've always enjoyed your posts, but this one touched my heart in a very NICE way. Thanks!

Krysia was an outstanding talent, and she must have had an outstanding spirit, too. I had not heard her before, but I'll hear her again, for sure. :)

Pretty wooden box mod and a Reo? Nice! You will have to let us know more about the bottom feeding goodness, I'm interested.

Re: Kitty - been trying to get some good photos, but she is all legs and tail and moves like greased lightning. (Honestly, never seen a cat move faster!) She doesn't stop and pose.

My kitty is like that. It's too bad because she has interesting markings, but she won't hold still for a camera. She'll stay still in the middle of the hallway, so I trip over her, but not for a camera.

The box mods are insanely simple! They are 3.7v (you can get a vv Reo Grande, but I have enough vv/vw devices) and have a bottle of juice inside. I have a 1.5Ω 306 atty on one and a 1.7Ω shorty carto on the other. They feed a little differently. The Reo is just squonk, I guess it works by air pressure, whereas the Phidias uses gravity, so it's tip and squonk just a little. You have to practice to get the amount of squoking right, it took me about an hour. It helps if you know how to drip, since it's similar, just upside down.

That's it. Squonk, vape. I really like it since I get to use my 306 dripping attys and get the same intense flavor. The only drawback for some people is that it's not designed to change juice flavors often or doesn't seem like it to me.
