Im using ss cable in an aga t-2 someone suggested to not let the steel cable touch the bottom of my rba and didn't really know why. Can anyone fill in the gap to the reason behind this? T.I.A.

Because it is metal and it can short out if it is a metal tank,do not need to worry about this with a glass tank though.Same with a RDA if the coil touches the base it will short out.Granted,the cable is oxidized,but it can still happen.
