I know there are plenty of vapers out there who love onion flavors - I am not one of them, particularly when the flavor is 'accidental'.
Just wondering if any of you guys have ever noticed a decent tobacco flavour developing an unpleasant onion-like taste as you get towards the end of a tank. I get this with an e-liquid which I bought from a UK supplier (Liberty Flights). It is 100% PG, 24mg strength, and called USA Mix. I know there are several "USA Mix" liquids available within USA but I have never tried any of them. I did quick searches in a couple of forums but all I found was one post which did refer to this taste and offered the opinion that it related to old juice. I have doubts about the 'old juice' explanation. It seems to me to be more related to a change in the composition of the fluid which occurs as you vape you way through a tank. I've gone through plenty of tankfuls of a variety of juices but this is the only liquid that has this characteristic. I still have about 100ml of the stuff so plan to dilute some down to 12mg with VG. Will need to add more flavour too so I will not be rushing in to this because I don't have any flavour concentrates to waste at the present time. Meanwhile, all contributions from members who have experienced similar flavor changes and/or who can offer explanations for the phenomenon will be most welcome - but please don't ask me to try some of your onion soup mix!
PS: Found a small amount of Camel flavor left from my last mixing effort and made up a VG zero-nico Camel mix which I added to same quantity of the USA Mix. Just finished 1 ego type B tank - not a bad flavor, not much throat hit, but NO onions. Got enough left for one refill so if that's OK as well I'm going to mix up about 40ml of the new VG/PG 12mg USA-Camel and check it out in a Kanger T3. Will post results in a a couple of days time if anybody shows the slightest interest.
