I absolutely go to my local shop first. I know I can buy online for less, and in the case of higher end mods, much less but when I want something now I want to know I will have a place that I can hop in the car and run down to.

I will admit however I have gone the eBay way for wire and wick but everything else I own has come from one shop. They go way above and beyond with customer service, loan me new mods/tanks/rda's/rba's to try out, custom mix any juice I could imagine and they are there when I want something. Then when I get tired of a mod I walk in with it and trade with one of the owners for some other mod, can't do that online. I have talked at great lengths with the owners and the bulk of their profit comes from the making of juices not selling hardware. They have figured this out so rather than sell consumable hardware, they sell the higher quality at a little less profit so that the customer will keep coming back for juice.

My locals don't always have what I am looking for so I order those things on line. But no matter what if I go in a b & m store that caters to vaping then I buy at least one liquid. I try to avoid smoke shops since they seem way o error priced. The Vapor shops near me are even cheaper than the smoke shops.

I know what my local shop carries. They don't have a lot of the things I want to try or use now. They were fine when I started out but now I find they are geared more toward entry level stuff. Not gonna name names here...BUT .. I also find it a bit misleading that their in-store prices do not match their on-line prices.
Guess i've done tooo much research and outgrown their store or for that matter their on-line offerings.

I like my B&M. Ive bought alot from them... they give me free 30ml bottles of juice all the time when I buy hardware. They mix all their juices and will mix any ratio you want. If it doesnt taste like their testers they want to hear about it. Theyll replace it! Could be their downfall.

I like to get my hands on a mod before I buy... I'll pay a little more for that privilege.

I have only one local shop (within 30 miles). Unfortunately I know more than the employees. Last time I stopped by, they proudly showed me the new mech they had in stock (a bolt clone that fasttech sells for $13.00) but I could have it for only $60.00!! No sampling of juices and all they have are generic 'strawberry', 'mint', 'tobacco', etc.

But two things really bothered me and made me decide not to go back. The bolt also sold in kit form (for $80.00) and it came with an UNPROTECTED generic 18500 battery. When I pointed out that this was dangerous, they told me that was the battery they used in their other mechs (they also had a vamo and a mvp). Yeah, well those are regulated. I explained the difference but it was obvious they didn't care. The other thing is that they told me they didn't sell top-coil clearos because they leak into the battery and short it out. I pointed out that the ego he was holding to illustrate his point was sealed, therefore fluid wouldn't get into it. He looked at me like I'd grown another head.

Now, if there were a decent store around, I'd patronize it. But I'm not that lucky.

If I had B&M with good products and marginal mark ups I would def buy local, but that hasn't happened yet and the outlets are popping up here in smok-shops, health stores, you name it. If there's money to be made they're doing it, regardless if they have qualified help.

However with MBV, GoodProphets and so many other good suppliers out there that generally have my orders to me in 2 days it's a no brainer here ;)

My main online store is in my town. I could even go in person to pick them up but seems more hassle then what it's worth. I always get it the next day. There is a local shop near where I work that seems ok. When my pocket, walking around batteries wear out I plan to buy some ego twist there, prices seem fair. I have been pondering buying a spare or two vamo from fast tech. I wouldn't be in any hurry to get them
