The clones were up on FT just within the last few days, now they seem to have disappeared.

FT seems to be about the only Chinese retailer that pays any attention to Cease and Desists, apparently.

Sure they'll show up on Focal at some point, they don't seem to be as easily intimidated.

People pay for what they like and find value in. I collect nice watches, even though I could buy a cheap Casio from Amazon for $30...

And sometimes they just get caught up
In the hype.
;)

The Casio will keep better time than a Rolex.(I've had several, they are not bought because they are accurate timepieces).

I like the design of the rail box, but $350 for a dna 40 box mod isn't appealing to me.
It's begging to be cloned.

After giving it a closer look, the contact system on the rail looks like a guaranteed nightmare when it comes to proper/consistently accurate resistance readings, which is obviously critical in TC devices.

As soon as those contacts get contaminated with juice/condensation/tarnishing you're gonna have issues, or at the very least a lot of maintenance.

But yeah have to give them credit for trying something different, couple tweaks and lower price and it may be a winner.

It's begging to be cloned.

Like i said above it already has been cloned but obviously they must've sent FT/the cloner a 'friendly' letter...lol

I have a Rolex which was given to me, but it isn't particularly comfortable. Fine watches do take a bit of work to keep running, like having them in box winders when not in use and having them cleaned and serviced every couple years. Cold War era Soviet and German watches are what really interest me...

Nice!

I used to buy, repair and sell vintage watches as a hobby.
Some are fantastic devices, some are junk with a gold case.
I liked the profits on Rolex, but it's a crap watch. Swiss ETA movements crush Rolex at a fraction of the price.

It used to be amazing back in the late 1990's- early 2000's what you could get at a flea market in Moscow or St. Petersburg. True divers watches one could never actually wear outside of water they were so heavy and big, but make for great collectors pieces were selling for $10..

Looks like an over engineered device trying to reinvent the wheel. Makes me wonder if they’ve ever seen a bottom feeder which with the same regulator and quality rda would perform better than any tank while also being hidden in the body. Kinda reminds me of a Billet Box that went wrong.

The design also introduces increased potential issues from condensation, leaking, restricted airflow and connectivity/accurate ohm readings. Plus they have a disclaimer on the 510 connection, the way it’s designed would be an additional pain to try to repair.

I’m sure it’ll sell but I’m not buying.

You've clearly never looked up the price of the Vicious Ant Variant Titanium.
I've seen that and the mech mod that is made out of solid silver that goes for around $2K

But this thing is aluminum with "faux metal mesh side panels", or "faux wood side panels." Sound like stickers to me

Some people will pay virtually anything for anything. Sometimes you can attach a really high price to a piece of junk and someone will buy it and think it's the greatest thing on earth just because of the high price.

Look at the number of people who will buy an Acura TLX for $5k more than a loaded Honda Accord V6, despite the fact that they're really the same car and the Accord has 76 more horsepower and runs a 0-60 a full second faster than the Acura. It's even more funny when you learn that the Acura brand is only sold in the US, and everywhere else in the world what we call an Acura TLX is the Honda Accord. It's the cheaper and faster Accord that's actually custom built for the US market.
