Based on personal experience and watching others, I can agree with that. We all experience things differently, and those categories I think are generalizations of basic interpretation. Sometimes anger jumps to the head of the line.
"Cynical clown" can be bargaining or denial as well. Depends on the makeup of the individual.
Turtles.
I had to comment on this as i did read a report that turtles , especially younger turtles are smoking more than ever before and this is just the confirmation i needed . I have seen them out and about before and tried to be friendly by saying hello but they just don't seem to give a sh_ _ and usually move off in the opposite direction , like he's to good for me or something , whatever.
Whats really aggravating is when you get close to them and try to have a face to face conversation , they disappear completely , i mean he was there a second ago and now he's nowhere to be found , the nerve of some of them is just outrageous , thats what i have a problem with .
Definitely not the friendliest creatures i have come across and extremely stuck up, he's not that much better than me , they just don't care to engage in conversation thats all .
All i wanted was to ask them about their take on the smoking survey and if the younger generation of turtles are smoking more that all.

Ive read thru the OPs several posts and I truly feel sorry for his situation. But like others have posted its hard to define the cause of the illness. Did it cause it, add to it, we will never know.
But its human nature to try and make sense of things and find a "blame" but I understand the reason for it.
There are tons of people who enjoy peanuts. For years it was a main stay of peoples diets. Now decades later, there are so many people deathly allergic to peanuts. Now you are not allowed to send your kids to school with peanut butter sandwiches, or cookies or even a Reeses Peanut butter cup. Its also not allowed in many family restaurants.
I understand the safety issues and liability, but should vaping be banned because 1 in a billion ( exaggeration) finds they have a terminal disease after they started vaping?
We all have heard that we wont know the actual affects of vaping and all the ingredients that are used in the various liquids available for years to come.
Who would have thought decades ago that cigarettes allegedly cause cancer ? And yet most of us were born in the 60's and 70's and since we were in grade school were told and shown the horrors of smoking on our lungs, yet we still took up smoking....
I was born shortly before warning labels on cigarettes were mandated, but I have seen (and heard) the cigarette commercials and ads, sometimes starring "doctors", talking about how good one cigarette brand was - "More Doctors smoke Camels than any other brand!". In the mid-70's, I lost my "favorite" aunt to cancer, I remember it seemed that she lived on cigarettes and black coffee. You'd think that going to see her in the hospital a few days before she passed (in a coma for the last few weeks of her life) would have kept me off cigarettes, but I had my first cigarette about a year later.
On a side note, although John Wayne smoked 4+ packs of cigarettes a day (and drank like a fish) for the bulk of his adult life, and there's still people claiming his cancer was caused by filming "The Conqueror" a few hundred kilometers from a nuclear test site.

Your premise is incorrect. The Harvard study found negligible levels of diketones in most of the products it looked at. A lot of them were bordering right on the limits of detection. I'm one of the folks here who prefers to avoid diketones and I'd have no problem with vaping most of the products in that study. Of course the results were spun to whip up anti-vaping hysteria by the media.
Beside, hadn't you concluded that you condition was caused by lung hitting too much nicotine at to high a power level rather than flavorings?
Nah. If those researchers had actually wanted to make thing look bad for vaping, they would have included more liquids with really substantial levels of diketones. They could easily have found a few with levels 3 to 4 times as high as the worst one they reported on.
