Got my Tornado in on Monday :D. After having only tried a blu, this thing even on the stock carts (basic TOB flavor) was an infinitely better experience.

So, I managed to smoke far less for a few days, then yesterday my new juices from Cignot came in. Absolutely awesome stuff. English toffee was great, Starpuffs, and I even really enjoy Ahneeda Fruit. That's where the "oops" comes in. Since I started dripping Ahneeda yesterday, I have used little else. When I did try other liquids, they all tasted like orange with a hint of..whatever flavor I dripped. While it wasn't just horrible, it definitely wasn't very good, and the flavors weren't exclusive at all, regardless of how long it'd been since I last used the fruit. 8-o

Early this morning, I thought I'd try to clean the atty to get rid of any residual flavor. I'd already bought some Everclear, so after a short rinsing under hot tap water, and blowing out the atty (apparently from the wrong (battery) end), I tossed it into a nice Everclear bath. After letting it sit for about 15-20 minutes, I took it out, rinsed it again, then blew it out and let it dry for about another 20 minutes. Then, I screwed the atty onto my battery, and tried to burn it out a bit by firing it up. Never got it so hot that it turned orange or anything, but definitely had some sizzle to it. After a quick rinse, I blew it out and left it to dry.

So, a bit ago, I got my Ms. T's juices in, and couldn't wait to try them out. I dripped a couple small drops onto the atty, and fired it up. Yuck. Absolutely horrible burnt flavor. I could barely even taste what I'd dripped, and the vapor coming off the thing was just disgusting.

I'm here to ask what I can do to fix it and what I did wrong. My only batteries currently are my Tornado ones. I haven't gotten so head-long into vaping yet that I want to spend a lot more money, so no PT yet, but I do have some new atty's in the mail and on their way, thankfully. In the meantime, however, I'm back to analogs, and that's not a spot I'm happy to be in. :nah:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Let that be a lesson to you.;) Three lessons really:

1) Never leave yourself without a couple backup attys (or batteries for that matter).

2) Dedicate an atty to each intense, lingering flavor, especially if it is very different and not complementary with your standard flavors. [For me, that means menthol and mint (which go together fairly well, but dominate my standard tobacco flavors.]

3) Limit atty cleaning to blowing out (mouth on the battery end) and do that regularly ... unless you are about to throw it away otherwise. Bathing and burning is risky (not dangerous to you but to the atty). These things are delicate.

You may still be able to use that foul-tasting atomizer, by being patient. Make sure that it is fully moist. Your bathing and baking has made it the driest it has ever been (remember that primer that was on it originally?). Instead of dripping 2-3 drops, start with 5 drops and drip more frequently than normal. Try an intense flavor (e.g., a powerful menthol) to mask the taste.

If all else fails, chalk it up to one of life's many learning experiences, by which we grow in wisdom and in character.:D
