I saw a movie a few years back (actually, quite a few) were a man came from the future to this time. He had a cig that you tapped the end on a table, and it lit itself. The present day man was amazed, not buy the cig, but the fact they were still smoking cigs in the future. The man said " Funny thing. They found out they were actually good for you " I lmao as that was about the same time they were just telling everyone how they caused cancer, and would kill you. It was a nervous laff as I remember.
And now we know that nicotine really does have benefits.... if you're not getting all the tar and chemicals too!
I was stunned when I moved to this remote town, I live across the road from a high school and at least 60%-70% of the underage kids smoke like chimneys, they must still see smoking as cool even with all the graphic pics and warnings on cig packets

i'm not too sure its cool...i enjoy it and don't give a rats @$$ what anyone else has to say about it. i don't stink and never worry about who stole my bic.
I like all these opinions, but I think this one hits closest home for me. I mean, now that the nicotine is removed from the umpteen other chemicals and carcinogens, why not embrace it the same way we embrace the caffeine in our coffee? It's a stimulant that we feel (maybe only as addicts) helps us function better. It doesn't inebriate, and I think as long as we use discretion (as we do when we decide that that 5th,6th,7th,10th cup of coffee isn't a good idea) there's no reason we can't live a healthy life. To me, that makes vaping very cool.
It will take some time for e-cigs to catch on after they are regulated, of course. I can't imagine them being featured in movies or promoted actively by 'fashionable' people any time soon. They will take on, perhaps, after e-cigs and their liquids have been regulated by the FDA. No one knows the short-term effects of these things, much less the long-term. As much as I hope they are regulated soon, I know that the only true and reliable test is time. Vaping is an alternative to smoking, just be conscious of that. I have learned in my life that when something looks to good to be true, it usually is. I vape at my own risk, and I hope you do, too. In tens years we might all have developed severe lung problems, and were better off smoking; or, hopefully, we might all be perfectly healthy. I really do hope the latter is the case. Just don't buy into the rhetoric that e-cigs are perfectly safe, for we simply don't know. Be wise in your consumption.
As for offering a lady to refill her cartridge and her agreeing, I have to say she's really brave.

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH YOU E-SMOKING SHOULD BE AN ALTERNATIVE TO SMOKING TOBACCO CIGS AND SHOULD NOT BE LABELED AS A COOL NEW THING TO DO. I SEE IT AS A BETTER WAY TO SMOKE(VAPE).

Addiction is not cool. To think it's cool is a rationalization. Happens because of not understanding enough. I was that way then, when I was younger and I am not that way now.

I must agree. Not too concerned if it becomes cool. I love it regardless. I enjoyed smoking, I mean really enjoyed it. I enjoy vaping even more. I'm vaping right now.
I don't see it ever being cool, trendy and fashionable yes, but not cool. When something is cool it needs to have the possibility of being iconic. Think Bogart lighting a womans smoke, or James Dean with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth.
