OPINION NEEDED: Upgrade from DNA20 to DNA30? Worth it or being selfish/stupid?

There is a difference between technology and functionality though.

Are gyroscopes well fleshed out? Sure.

But are they a good interface for menu selections? I'm not convinced.


You tell me, would you prefer to tilt your phone to scroll through the menus on your iPhone, or would you rather use a button (touchscreen). My Galaxy lets me pick either, and I always use the touchscreen and disable the Tilt function.

My choice here isn't whether I'd like to use a tilt sensor or a touchscreen, but a tilt sensor or adding more buttons to the device so that I can use those. I'd rather use a tilt sensor than adding more buttons to the device.

I like minimalism. I have a VW MOD that doesn't have a screen at all, and only 1 button. I'm not advocating that this MOD is for everyone (you'd hate it if you feel the need to have more buttons so that you can adjust wattage 3 seconds faster than a MOD with no buttons), but it's my favorite MOD.

Ultimately it's all about choice. More of them is good, and the only real gimmick I've seen so far is the vibrator MOD.

Mine's a mech mod with a Kick2.

But I'd still rather remove the top cap and turn a dial than perform tilt adjustments.

then all i can say is....your really not thinking clearly.....it takes more effort to take off the topcap to adjust...put it back together...then find you didnt adjust enough, and start all over again....etc etc

NO....its NOT worth it IMO!......unless your thinking to swap out your DNA20 Board for the DNA30 board yourself in the mod you have....then the $50ish for the 30 MAYbe worthwhile investment.
i have both the sigelei 20watt AND the DNA 30w Hana Mod v3.....and NEITHER are worth it !....even if the sigelei is a lot for the buck !
....and anyone that spends $350 bucks on something thats worth $60 in total............well then , good luck with that! .....

im giving in to NOT being able to change batterys im ordering a xpv 30D with a sony vtc5 wired in..i really dont need 30 watts but for the extra 5 bucks..for this brand of mod.. its worth it and if i do want to sub ohm i can with this device. i just need more than a provari can provide at times

Put it in perspective: How long would it have taken you to smoke $350 worth of cigarettes? For me it would have been less than a month. How much were those cigarettes really worth?

Moreover, having good stuff that isn't made in China is worth a lot to some of us.
