Right on than it's def worth it in your case. But ya i checked the smok site 2 weeks ago and it said usb charging now they've changed it. If i would have known that i woulda got the cuboid. Just really sucks bc i really like it alot. Who knows maybe I'll stick it out but just bc i don't want to deal with the hassle of a refund.

Why don't you get a charger, you can get a good one on Amazon for $13.99, even if you had gotten the cuboid it says it strongly recommends that you don't charge it using the USB port, but to use an external charger.

Here is a link to the Amazon charger http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...harger i2&qid=1455380571&ref_=sr_1_13&sr=8-13 it also comes with a battery case.

What I am curious about and I like the idea. The smok unlike the cuboid which I have sets the wattage for you, I find myself constantly fiddling with the wattage on the cuboid because often times it doesn't work very well in TC mode. I'd also be curious to know if the algorithm of the smok is different than the Cuboid, more efficient. I'm really disappointed with TC on the Cuboid.

The reviews I have been seeing for the R80, seem favorable for TC accuracy. The R200 uses the same system, so I would think that might a good indicator of how well it works? You can also apparently adjust initial resistance +/- .05 ohms, which might be nice.

I wish we had more feedback and reviews, but the R200 seems identical to the r80, except 120 more watts and removable batteries. I may just roll the dice on it. It is this or the cuboid for me at the moment or both, lol.

I like my Cuboid, and it may just be that I got a bad one. A lot of people really like them. The other reason I'm attracted to the R200 is one of the options for temp control is that there is an option for a single 316L coil and a dual 316L which makes me think it's more accurate, the Cuboid just has a single 316L setting. You've got TCR, but then the R200 has that. I think the Crown tank which I might get as well has dual 316L coils. I'm currently waiting on a Herakles Plus tank and plan on ordering the R200 on the 15th unless I hear something bad about it.

Lol, I got busy , but yeah, at times I even annoy my wife with purchase decisions. Should have it by the end of the week I think.

So this mod does not have the same annoying "round robin" thing as the cuboid when you adjust wattage right? From what I have heard / read, on that one if you miss what you want, you have to keep going to 200 to roll it over and get back to low wattages.

Nope the + and - buttons both work and ya that would drive me nuts i have to have my watts on a full #. So accidently hitting it an have to run all the way back would piss me off.

Oh and for charging i decided to rig something up externally. It will charge off a micro usb and all i have to do internally to the mod is bridge the usb pos and neg to the batteries. Going to make to one for home and one in the truck. So with the step up I'll get the 8 volts i need than than pcb board keeps the batteries from frying hope it works if not out 5$. $1.00 7.4V Dual MOS DIY 2*18650 Batteries Protection Board (36*8mm, 4A) at m.FastTech.com

$2.11 DC-DC 3V to 5-9V 2A Boost DIY Mobile Phone Power Supply Module (Boost: 3V to 5-9V, 2A (DIY Mobile Power Supply)) at m.FastTech.com

So far, so good. Got it today, haven't had time to mess with TC yet. Looks and feels nice, pretty compact for a dual battery mod. Mine has a slight button rattle on the down button, but you really have to shake it to notice, my D2 might be worse on that front. I will probably get a silicone sleeve for it anyhow. Happy to have a mod with step down in power mode. I like the lock on wattage adjust, but seems odd not to have it lock the fire button. Anyway, I will play more with it in a bit and see how temp control performs.

I got one dry hit using temp control in SS dual coil mode. Have you had any issues with your temp control on this mod. Just got it today, having second thoughts on this one. Never had a dry hit on my cuboid.

Going to try building with nickel shortly to test it out. I have never built with nickel, so might be interesting. I grabbed a Ni200 coil for my street too, just in case.

I may have just fixed it I went to this guide The Ultimate TCR List. Then went into TCR mode on the Smok R200 mod, and found that it was set for SS 304, not SS316L so I changed it to the correct value according to the list should fix the problem will update. Here is the link to the TCR List. You might want to print it or bookmark it very useful The Ultimate TCR List

Been looking for the right mod for the right price and came across the R200 for 50$ from directvapor.com. Ive never seen that mod in a store before and don't know with anyone with personal experience but there doesn't seem to be any cons to it. Any opinions from people with first hand experience? R200 - SMOK® Being with you for all great vaping time!

Can I warn against buying a SMOK mod solely on what I've read? This includes their own ad page for it; superfluous graphs that mean nothing, superfluous "makes this mod more safe" when other mods have same features, and only new feature I see is Ohm adjustment...if the mod can't read ohms right, it's just...bad...

Maybe 200 watts with a lightweight mod sounds nice, but will you use 200 watts? Will you even use 100? Even at 100 watts, a two-battery mod may last one day of heavy vaping, and anything above that, less, and harder on batteries
