Opinions on whether to get a cartotank, tank, or clearomizer for best vape?

I know eventually im going to sound like a broken record but ill give it a go. Also a noob, so what do I know.

Started with Clearomizers ce4-Started great, burn taste, then dry hits, juice in mouth and lately leaking.

Bought Vision Vivi Nova after tons of reviews. Started decent. Within the first 5 days, started leaking. Went to store and got the nova fixed and a day later leakage with juice in my mouth. Replaced at store and repeat of the above. (of course must be bad batch right)

So ended up getting a Kanger T3. Was told this was similar to Protank with the bottom coil but plastic and not as durable. Filled up at juice bar and took a puff maybe 30minutes later and very familiar plastic taste.

Also got a Cartotank when I picked up the Kanger t3. Where have you been my entire vaping experience. This thing is night and day compared to what I had been using. No leakage, tons of flavor, tons of vapor and cheap to replace carto.

Type of guy that notices everything. Out of maybe 10 people in the vape store only 1 person was using a PROTANK. When describing how it performed everyone said "airy type vape". Everyone in the store had different battery types but everyone had a cartotanks attached.

So happy I picked up a cartotank, because I was going to that store to buy the protank. If the protank is anything like the kanger t3, Im happy I didnt waste the $20.

Yeah cartotanks seem efficient, I like my boge 510 LR cartos and using now after the fail from my vivi nova haha. So I figure cartotanks would be just a more convenient way of using cartos.

Exactly! I couldn't deal with cartos alone! I kept burning them or flooding them! Lol! But I love that I can just fill up my tank & go. I usually get 2 weeks out of a carto depending on the juice & carts are pretty cheap especially if you buy them in larger quantities! I used the novas for a while too after I got tired of all of the leaky clearos I kept running into. The novas were ok but they muted the flavor too much for me.

In my opinion, a clearomizer like a kanger protank would be ideal. I personally don't like anything dealing with a carto.

Interesting. I use a 650 eGo battery with a Boge LR carto for my all day carry around rig. I use the VV setups and tanks and such at home and on weekends. I've tried a lot of different things and I always come back to the LR Boge for simplicity and dependability. I also carry a 5 mil bottle in my shirt pocket to keep it topped off.

Thanks for all the opinions! Well I think I got my next order down, an AGR Tank with LR Stainless Boge XL Cartos. XL will work with the AGR right because it comes with 2 tank sizes? and do you guys suggest the XL's? Also will any standard 510 drip tip work? I'm excited for this :D
Sorry for all the questions just wanna be prepared.

I THINK you will be good with a regular 510 drip tip. You should check that before ordering.
I used to use the 5 mil map tank with 2.5 ohm dual coil cartos on my Bolt. The only complaint I had with the tank is that the cartos would tend to food and get gurgley and then I'd end up taking it off and wiping everything down due to leaking.
I recently came back to vaping after a 6 month or so break. I bought an 1100 mah ego kit that came with CE4's. Personally I really really like the CE4's. Mine have all sealed up very well and haven't had any leaking issues. Taste and vapor production have also been to my liking. But to each their own.
Good luck and vape on!

It really all depends on your own personal preference. While one will love the carto, another will love a drip atomizer, a third will love the cartotank, and a 4th will swear by the clearomizer. If you have the funds, experiment a while. Find what works best for you. Worse comes to worst, you can sell what you don't like on craigslist or maybe even on the trade forum here to recoup some of your losses.

At the moment, I'm using a Desire DCT and am loving it on my eGo-C Twist. I also have a mini Vivi Nova for backup, but have yet to even fill it.

Protanks have a very loose draw like cartos, once you adjust to the loose draw protanks work great. I use protanks and vivi novas, the mini novas don't leak due to the tank tube fitting inside the caps. The big vivi novas have the caps fit into the tank instead and leak easily so have to either get better o rings or use something to seal the threads better.

I have only tried one carto tank the udct and really don't care for it and I have tried over and over again to get it to vape well with no luck. If I could get a carto to work for me I would have ordered one from ibtanked.

Also with my protank at 1.9ohm I vape it between 8.5 - 9.5w which seems to work best and vivi novas are more like 6.5w. I think most ppl who complain about airy draw doesn't realize the protanks need a higher than avg setting compared to others.

What kind of battery are you using? An eGo class or an APV?

I like my carto tanks but I find them fiddly and I don't care for the taste of the filler--some people are sensitive to it, others are not. I'm a big fan of Kanger bottom coil changeable clearomizers--T3, baby T3, eVod and ProTank are all good, IMO. I have tried ViVi Novas but I didn't much care for them. Try the Boge f15 carto tank if you like your LR Boges, and try one of the Kanger BCCs. :D

I like the little (and very inexpensive) Boge F15 carto tank on my eGos because it's the same diameter as the battery--15mm. I don't much care for the lollipop look of oversized heads on my eGos. Another small tank is the Smoktech DCT--but I recommend using it with single coil cartos.

Anyway, this is my favorite tank for eGos--if that's what you have:

BOGE F15 TANK CARTOMIZER 1 ML - $4.00 : VapeLite your source for Boge quality electronic cigarettes, Boge electronic cigarettes

For 4 bucks you get a fully assembled carto tank complete with a laser prepunched LR Boge cartomizer already installed--just fill and vape! I own and use one and I like it a lot. BTW, there is typo on the site--that tank is 2.5ml capacity, not 1 ml.

And a video review The reviewer is using a Boge F16 tank--same thing, just bigger--on his ProVari.

Warning--a couple of bad words in the video... Sorry. But it's a good video. :)

Just wondering on opinions for best vapor and throat hit. Got a vivi nova and was unimpressed. Thinking about the UDCT or AGR carto tanks.

Thanks!

Protank is awesome favorite clearomizer, busted mine today. It was on my vamo and it fell from my window seal to on my carpeted floor and half of the 510 connection snapped. 2nd favorite is the iclear 30

Ummm a carto tank is a tank....it actually came out before what you youngsters are wrongly calling tanks nowadays...I assume youre referring to a Vivi Nova or Protank when you just say tank? They are more accurately called clearo tanks because they use strings to wick, just like any clearomizer ever made.

That being said, Ive had the most enjoyment and ease of use from carto tanks. If I were picking a clearo tank Id go with the Protank.
