ORCHID v3/v4 bottom fill question......

......if anyone out there had a lot of experience with them?

Sometimes when I fill from the bottom it seems like I can't get juice to go in. Like there's almost a vacuum or something that's like forcing it out? It's hard to explain. But I'm sure someone that has messed with them a lot may know what I'm talking about? I hope!

Check fill hole position to Chimney. Many are partially blocked.
Fill Slowly and make sure you are not blocking the Air passages.

Air must exit for e-liquid to enter.

It's very easy to get a vacuum in there. If you unscrew the top a turn or so (just enough to let air escape, not enough to break the seal so juice comes out, or the seal in the chimney) and hold it at a slight angle, it will allow the air to escape and the juice to go in easier.

I was having the same problem. Switched out the tank with one of these- http://www.fasttech.com/products/3023/10009156/1662304

No problems anymore. Between the chimney partial coving the fill hole and the thickness of the treaded 3 piece tank a bottleneck was created. the one piece tank is thinner, so the juice has more room to flow.

I have the 1 peice tank on mine as well,and no issues with filling,plus it adds just a bit to the capacity since you dont have the metal rings sitting so close to the chimney.

I'm thinking it is possibly psychological. That tank is straight bore 22mm. That means the inner dimension should be the same as the metal rings.(unless someone did a really crappy ring design) My Kayfun nano rings are super thin and these should be the same.

Will see when mine arrives on Mon/Tues. If they are thick, I'll swap in Kayfun set and see what happens.

If you look down the inside is a three piece kayfun/orchid tank, you'll see what I mean. The lip from the threaded clear middle section decreases the inside diameter.

I've had the same problem intermittently... just assumed I had created an air blockage somehow so I filled from the top (saw a YouTube video on this last week). It was certainly easier to do with the top removed though was a bit messier though not horrible.
