I believe you will Not enjoy using the Orchid on a Vamo. The Orchid works well with 28ga. or thicker wire and coiled under 1 ohm.

I have mine running at .5 dual coiled on a Mechanical mod.

You will just have to experiment. The Vamo v7 - v8 models would deliver more power and might do a better job. Obviously any of the 50 watt Plus mods would do.

Good Luck

Check out Angelcigs for decent pricing. Stingray X with a quality battery would do very well.
I Purchase most of my Mods through Fasttech. Shipping takes a few weeks but the Gear I purchase works well and the pricing is very good.

Just received a unbranded 18350 Mod(GP style) and with an Efest Purple 18350, it runs the orchid nicely. NOT an All day application!

Hello all! I just ordered an Orchid V4 from Fasttech because I wanted to see what all the hype was about (from what I have read on here) and I had a question. I have to Vamo V5's and want to know if I can use them to power my new Orchid? Any info, tips and tricks will be welcome as I have no idea what I am doing yet! LOL

The Vamo and Orchid was precisely the reason I bought my first mech.

It is nearly impossible to build an Orchid to satisfy the 1.2 ohm required coil for the Vamo.

But, you have time to find a mech. cause fasttech aint really fast. I ordered some stuff from them on October 13th and it still isn't here, I have to go back and look at my order to remember what it was...

The guy at the B&M that put the first build in it for me, spent 45 minutes building coil after coil to get a build that would satisfy the Vamo, I never succeded.

Thanks for all of the tips and tricks! One thing that I don't understand is how do mods like the Stingray work better than the Vamo? I can't adjust the Stingray so I don't understand how it works better.

Strait power from the battery.until the power drop off the battery, then gets weaker.
If you build a duel coil of 32 gauge @ 1.5-1.6 it will work fine on your Vamo. I got mine rockin' on my MVP2 and works well.

I just picked up a V4 at my local B&M today, and built it to 1.3Ω using 30ga, dual coil. It took a few tries to get the coils situated properly and the thing tightened up enough to not leak, but it's been working great on my iStick. Ran it up as high as 19 watts with no dry hits, but that was too hot for me, about 14 watts is my sweet spot.

Your post saying "I don't understand is how do mods like the Stingray work better than the Vamo?" Has me a little worried since it's obvious your not familiar with ohms law. I highly recommend that you start researching ohms law and battery safety before diving right into mechanical mods. On your Vamo you can easily change your voltage/wattage with the press of a button where as with a mechanical your building your coil to a certain resistance to achieve the power your want. Owning a multimeter or ohm reader is an absolute must so if you don't own one get yourself one. I'm not trying to harp on you I'm just trying to look out for your safety. Using mechanical mods is a whole different ball game with lots of variables.

The main thing to worry about is using an online voltage calculator to calculate the current based on your battery's max voltage and resistance, and make sure it does not to exceed your battery's limit. Once you get the hang of that, you're golden and can build and rebuild until you get the vape you want.

I have a Sigelei V5 and have to say it's really limited. Good for Protank Mini but that's about it LOL.

Something about mechs, I love em. And something about brass, I love it.
