Thanks for the offer:)

I have my aromas now, I bought some glycerin at the drug store. Couldn't buy any PG though... The pharmacist said she is not licensed to sell any chemicals and refused to sell PG. Maybe you can suggest where I can buy PG? I can do it without nic, I guess..

BTW, where are you in Dartmouth?:)

I'm in Westphal.

ETA: Not sure where you can find the PG..I've never looked as I haven't ventured toward DIY juices....yet!

I read that someone just ordered it from his pharmacist... I have to find one who will order it for me...

Yes, you're very close to me...in fact, I'm right on the border almost ~ Cole Harbour Place is a 3 minute drive.

You might try Costco pharmacy...they've been pretty good about ordering stuff (non-prescription) for me when I've asked. You can always tell them that you need it to make homemade soap, lol!

I'll try Costco. Homemade soap is the perfect reason :)))

Looking at the pics it looks like it was run over by a forklift, or maybe squashed by a sorting machine. Browsing the internet last night and found where there seems to be a rise in damaged packages since they returned to work(Ha - i have received 1 piece of mail since they returned to work, there is speculation the employees are purposely dragging their feet on catching up on the mail)

Well, I'm not quite sure what is going on but I had a discussion with my letter carrier this week since I had a parcel with an 'expected delivery' of Monday July 4th (sent last week from HV) that has yet to arrive. The status has been stuck at "processed at Halifax" since Monday night - it should have been in my hands Tuesday morning !

My letter carrier (very nice and pleasant fellow, btw) said that he noticed a huge backlog of parcel post at the plant that has yet to be sorted. He said that they are not being allowed any overtime to get through the backlog and that even lettermail is being delayed because the carriers have been given a limit of 3 trays per day (he mentioned that many carriers have as many as 6 trays for their routes) to ensure that they cannot claim overtime.

So, I don't know guys...from what I'm hearing, it sounds like the corporation is set and determined to 'teach these guys a lesson' - they lost 2 weeks in pay and someone is making sure that they have no way or opportunity to make that up.

I agree with you that these photos look like a forklift incident...it makes sense if there is a huge backlog that they're not being allowed to clear (through overtime) and new parcels are pouring in, there is only so much space in the clearance warehouse...in this scenario I can imagine parcels falling from their perches often -- must make for a very hostile environment between workers and management with these restrictions in place.

I agree, there is a huge backlog that needs caught up on and from what I am reading it is actually getting worse. My understanding is that CP is only authorizing limited extra hrs(1 extra hr prior to regular shift for sorting) and that once they reach the end of their shift time they are to return any remaining undelivered mail back to the depot.
This is resulting in routes not being completed and a constant state of catch up plus a higher than usual volume of mail for this time of year making things more difficult.
On the other hand CP needs to balance overtime cost as well as the probability of increased injury to its employees from working longer hrs, carrying and handling heavier than normal loads in their bags etc.
Add to that where it is being said that some employees are doing "work to rule" in protest to the back to work legislation and it starts to be a mess.

I waited to place 3 orders till after the union went back to work since I actually like using Canada post, but with none of the tracking #'s showing up in the system it can be a little nerve wracking at the moment.

All the best,
Wing.

I'm also waiting on a shipment from MLV. CP says that it was accepted at the post office on the 4th with expected delivery on the 7th. Needless to say, it never came.

My MLV was also accepted on the 4th but expected delivery isn't until the 11th -- looks like Ian shipped it regular parcel post :(.

Same here. The entire week the CP website has had it as "2011/07/04 14:00 SCARBOROUGH Item accepted at the Post Office"

I don't know how long it has to sit there before someone says "Hey, this should have been delivered yesterday!". The strike is *still* killing me even though it's been over for what, a week now?!

Well.... if you havn't seen it yet: Canada Post Sucks and I have lost all faith in our national postal service !

Agreed.

I have 2 Express post packages that were in Vancouver on Monday. I live only a 12 hour drive from there, and I don't think I'll get them this week :(

My Damn order from Ian has sat at his local since Monday..... unmoved !! and now this announcement..... sheeesh !

I just can't catch a break, as I was really anxious to try his juices I selected with high hopes that they MAY be the ones to kickstart me back into vaping.

If it wasn't for bad luck.... I'd have no luck at all :(

Oh Hai Canada Post. Let me get this straight.

- You said that during the rotating strike you lost millions because of the decrease in mail.
- So you locked them out.
- Now that's it's over, you say that there's a huge backlot of mail.

Oh Hai Union Bosses. Let me get this straight.

- You go on rotating strike but mail delivery came in pretty regular.
- You came back from the lockout, no mail.

Is this what it feels like having divorced parents?!?
