Yep...saddle valves work great! I also found for my thicker juices a drill works great, just be careful you dont drill too far down :) Even on some 100% VG juices two punches from a saddlevalve works.... Bobas bounty (the thickest juice I have ever seen...it has the consistency of molases) needs the drill.

He's Sidney, an ASCA rescue :) Heidi was a beautiful red merle, she was with me 12 years, before Sydney adopted me.

(Sid is normal sized, Heidi was 85 pounds of muscle, a wonderful runnng companion. Heidi is my avatar on other forums :) )

Here is a pic of my Aussie rescue pup, along with is Black and white friend (TAZ is the aussie, Sylvester is the cat...of course) (sorry for the OT)

Cute furbabies FAA, and no worries about going off topic here......happens in every thread! :p It's just what we do!!! ;)

So, BP and IP owners seem to have a mutual affinity to Australian Shepherds too!
I grew up on a farm with Australian Shepherds, and one saved my dad's life many years ago, so there was no other breed for me to even consider when I bought my house and wanted a dog.

I was lucky that I live within 100 miles of one of the top breeders of Australian Shepherds, and was able to track back through the ASCA registration records, and find a dog with the same ancestry of the dog that saved my dad's life.

This is my second Aussie.... my first (Tucher..named after my Fav German Beer) passed away after 11 years of friendship. They are loyal, smart (almost too smart at times..they are like a 5 yr old and constantly exploit ways to push the boundries with thier human pack mates), and VERY loving. They also require endless amounts of excercise!!!

Back OT... Ya, the drill worries me, but the shavings I saw were minimal (the steel is very thin). But you are right...I prefer my saddle valve. With Bobas bounty I needed to make two 1/16" holes to get it to flow!!

so, I punched my 2nd carto today.... Stopped after hearing the pop (Actually heard it this time)

and it seems like the thing isn't drawing in any juice... Havn't seen a single air bubble, and I have to kinda pump the tank to make it look like it is moving any juice in.

starting to think a bigger hole is better..... Hope i don't have to drain this tank and enlarge the hole. this is Halo Tribeca, not sure of the PG/VG ratio, but I was using an 80/20 juice.

Ooh, and i Tried filling throught he top, by sliding the carto out.... what a mess.... had to wash my hands, and wipe it all down with a damp rag when I was done... People do that all the time?

I've no idea about the tank, sorry. My first tank won't be here til next week probably.

And yes, he panics when I point just about any unknown item at him. Remote control, cell phone, etc. He's a wee bit (understatement of the year) skittish. He's getting better, but it's been a long journey. He does make for an excellent guard dog though, he goes on the offense when he's scared. No one would EVER break into my house at night, or steal the car, etc. He's little, but it's amazingly terrifying to witness the flashing teeth and snarling. The downside to that, he can't be in the yard off leash. I do have hope though, a few weeks ago we had an incident where he followed me out the door and our neighbors pomeranian was outside. He went into attack/drive mode immediately, but actually stopped and came back instantly when I yelled "NO" His parents were very mellow, so I'm not sure if it's a weak nerves issue, or excessive herd drive, or what. Even with all the issues, I wouldn't give him up for anything. He's amazingly sweet and gentle, and excellent with the kids.

On a tank I will use a regular 6ml dropper bottle to top fill. Put the top near the hole and squeeze the bottle, it streams into it. Very little slop.

Difficulty with eliquid getting into the carto does sound like the hole in the side is small. Add a second hole or widen it slightly with a nail. I vape a pretty thin liquid, and use a decent size slot, 1/16 - 1/8" high by 1/4 - 1/3" wide.
