I've been vaping for a little over 2 weeks. I got my money back for a Blu kit, and now have an ego and a Phidias. I've spent 500 dollars in all... juice feeding was my main concern, and I think the Phidias will solve that for me. The only thing that I plan on buying PV wise after the Phidias is perhaps a GG with non aluminum AVS style tank. That thing looks so freakin awesome. You can put about 10ml in it and just vape yourself into oblivion. This Phidias, the GG, (and maybe a Wetbox, for camping or times when I don't want to risk losing/damaging a mod) all take 510 attys so I don't have to spread money around on spare parts really. I can use the same 18650 batteries in all of them, though I think if I do get a GG I will try 5v vaping with it.

I've found several all day vapes, but I have 7 months worth of juice, and I just got into DIY. I think if you really do need to stop spending money the key is to find out what the one thing is that you are most dissatisfied with. For me it was having to drip juice all the time. I feel pretty confident that I've either solved that problem entirely, or am well on my way to solving it, but I may be fooling myself.

I don't want to go back to smokes either way...but even with all the "stuff" (including ordering the $29 Riva kit) I've done the math and I'm still spending half of what I'd have spent on cigs. And I'd never, ever have had a 6 months supply....

Being a 3 PAD smoker and even though for the last 2 years of smoking, I made my own, I have definitely not saved money Yet. BUT, if I can get my compulsion under control, knowing that I will be sitting very shortly with at least a years worth of equipment and a few months worth of juice, I might break even in 4 months.

On the very very bright side of the coin, I am almost 2 months smoke free after smoking for 43 years. eCigs are Revolutionary.

I did it too.. I got a titanium Riva last time LF had the sale. It really was time for me to try something new. Had been vaping on the M401 forever. Man, I LOVE my Riva! But I really wanted pink..

So when I saw that the sale was on again, I asked hubby if he wanted one, he said sure, make it a black one. (bo-ring! but okay..) I put it in my shopping cart, and said, should I get a pink one? He says do it if you want to.. and I'm like, no, the one I have is still new, I really don't NEED it.. He looks and says there are few pink ones left, you better get one now if you want one. So I did.

Congrats on your getting another Riva and I'm glad you're getting your Pink! EnJoy!!!!

(This is a cut & paste from another post, but it answers your question:)

I've been vaping for 16 months and off analogs for 14! Started with a Blu (L88B), a 306, 510, tried an Evo (401) and now use both an Ego and my V2 with 306/510 attys and cartos. That said; last week I bought my very 1st Kr808-D1 (V4L) w/automatic battery to see if I get back that "spontaneity" of smoking an analog using an e-cig (A friend in Costa Rica was looking for a 'starter kit' and I wanted to give the best recommendation I could).

Bottom Line: KR808 w/Automatic Batteries & 36mg. Cartos fit the bill. Besides a quick primer puff; they are easy to use (2 part, battery & carto), last longer on a charge than a 510, less prone to firing due to noise, produce a decent amount of vapor and the cartos last a fairly decent time (and are easy to refill using the cart condom method). The size isn't that much more than a 100 analog (4.5" or 114.3mm.) and the weight isn't hard to handle. The draw is very easy (remember to primer puff) and you have a tremendous amount of options.

I got 2 batteries, 5 cartos, a travel case, a PCC, a Mains & USB charger and a pass-through for $99.00

FYI - The VAPOR KING-Value Kit goes for $49.95 which include 2 batteries, 1 VK USA wall charger, carrying case of your choice, and 1 box of 5 cartomizers in your choice of Flavor and strength

I think the kr808 will deliver what my first PV did but with more juice and battery life. I started on what I believe to be was a M4081. It was so close to smoking a real analog but with my being a heavy smoker, I had to switch batteries about every 2 hours and the carts needed constant refilling, but I did love the throat hit and draw. It gave me promise that there would be another device out there that would satisfy me and help me stop smoking as much as I did.

I then got the 510 manual, nice vapor but still had to change out batteries more than I wanted and of course the juice delivery system...which still remains sort of a problem with me although now with Rivas, an eGo 900mah and my newly arrived and gorgeous VGO, I think I've figured out my eGo cylinder atty and cart problem out. I have been using mostly VG juice in it and the leaking seems to have stopped. The taste isn't as good as with my CE2r3.5 but at least I don't hear gurgling all the time and need to keep a paper towel on standby.

(BTW...once I started with the 510, I stopped smoking a couple of days later. Didn't feel the need to smoke.)

But then there are the times, I wish I had the same easy sensation as I did with the M4081 and from what I've heard about the KR808, it will not only be wonderful for my friend who will be a newbie but a possible go to for me when I'm driving. The manual is a PIT when I drive and I really don't want to be hooked up to the umbilical cord-like PT when driving. lol!

Better run out and buy a generator to plug your chargers in. lol Actually you can always use your car's cig lighter if your electricity goes off.

Laughing about the generator and yes, I thought of that but alas, I live in a condo and can't have one!

I also thought about using my car, but during a blizzard and the aftermath here, I can't get out to drive the car around and wouldn't want to. I have a 16 year old Camry and its engine would probably die from idling.....

So I have to keep a zillion fully charged batteries on hand!

I keep going to LF and adding a couple rivas to my basket because that is a really good deal but I've been keeping my vaping expenses spreadsheet open in my other monitor when I'm on ECF and that has helped. I'm .... about tracking expenses, my first purchase was June 17 and so far I've spent over $2600:
June $503
July $814
Aug $484
Sept $680
Oct $129
Sept wouldn't have been so bad but I really stocked up because of the Armageddon scare. Until you can figure out what works best for you, I think you just keep searching for that perfect vaping experience. I'm hoping I've finally rounded the corner via DIY juice and CE2 cartomizers on egos or mods. What's pretty sad is I've spent $389 on shipping fees alone!

Thats a hair under 15% for shipping. You may me .... about tracking expenses, but not the actual "expenses".

I agree, thats pretty sad. I don't need any product that bad.

Since February when i started I have spent $631.55, but I have only spent 6.00 in shipping :)
Less than 1% on shipping.
One Clouds of Vapor order for some E2 Cartos. 9.99 with 6.00 shipping .... what a rip.
I would have added more to the order to off set the 6.00 flat fee, but there prices are crazy expensive.

I only order from vendors that offer free shipping. But my hands were tied with the E2 Cartos. Still pisses me off.

What I find weird is the places with free shipping on orders over 50 or 75 bucks usually have the cheapest prices too. The places that charge shipping are ripping you off twice IMO.

I feel for you with the Indulgence I had the same experience what a waste of money I was to embarrassed to even give it away to someone so I threw it away EM is one place I will never buy from again. They made the Riva as well and that is why I'm scared of buying it I mean ask yourself why they sell it so cheap I bought cartomizers from them as well and at least 2 out of every 5 was a dud. After I ended up in hospital after I bought juice from them I decided to buy only from the US and all my problems stopped but now I can also not stop buying and I get my orders from America within 8 working days all the way to South Africa where I had to wait sometimes for more than a month for my orders to arrive from China and sometimes my orders even went missing. Nothing can compare with American hand mixed E-Liquid it's more expensive but it's worth every cent and I never ended up in the hospital again. Sorry I know it's off the topic but just the mention of the Indulgence brought back all the bad memories. Yes Vaping is addictive in the sense that you always want to buy the next new PV or you are always looking for a better PV it became a hobby for me and expensive one but man my heart still races when I receive that parcel and can't open it fast enough.

I agree with you COV was one of my favorite suppliers I was hooked on the WetBox that they sell but his Freight to me in South Africa in the beginning was also $6 which I thought was a bargain but all of a sudden his freight to me went up to $28 and the parcel was smaller than the others sorry I only get ripped off once then it's bye bye you won't see me again there is too many other great suppliers on the Net oh and about the WetBox that's another story I will post somewhere more appropriate let's just say I'm over that as well a complete waste of money.

From $6 to $28 almost definitely means that they went from using USPS first class international shipping to USPS PRIORITY international. The difference is that you can track your order. I wonder if you can request that they send it first class international. I would love to have tracking available to customers-- we have quite a few in Japan and since it takes a minute to get there anyway, it would be comforting for them to be able to track it. But I don't feel that most people would consider it worth the $28 that international priority costs.

They claim that the parts are interchangeable it's only the battery that is stronger than the normal EGO oh and they also claim that the switch is improved not that I ever had a problem with my EGO switch.

The parts Are interchangeable and the IMHO the button on the Riva is much better than the EGO. My Ego's button is hard and uncomfortable and the Riva's is very comfortable. Besides the Riva having a stronger battery, a big difference for a lot of peopel seems to be that Rivas are trimmed in gold and Egos in silver.
