Hi,
I'm a newbie--just got my new Joye 510 & I"m Soooooo EXXXXxcited to quit smoking after 25+ years!!! And Most of those years I've been a heavy smoker of ultra light analogs.

I've been reading this forum for the last week and a half tryinig to figure all this stuff out and after a lot of confusion I bought several bottles of 24mg nicotine e-juice which I now believe is going to be wayyy to high for me. My understanding is I can dilute it with VG & PG, but I can't use the calculator to do this since I have a finished product I'm starting with....

Can someone PLEASE :confused:tell me how to figure out how to lower the nic in these bottles of e-juice? I really really appreciate any help! I'm on a very tight budget.

Thank u very much.

Here's some info I saved from my 1st post regarding the same thing...
"Re mixing PG and VG - yes - if you have a PG juice and a VG juice of the same nicotine level you can mix them - the flavors will blend if different flavors and the result will be the same nicotine level per ml. If you just add plain VG (USP Glycerin from a drugstore) to ejuice, then you will reduce the flavor and the nicotine level."
My juice was 80/20 so I went to walmart and bought Glycerin (near the alcohol) and diluted it a bit...wasn't that great but got me through til I ordered some lower nicotine. Just a thought - what I didn't like about my 1st juice was the flavor itself not the nic level.
btw the glycerin was about $3

I bought a bottle of pure PG from Blue Mist vaping to dilute things with when I needed to, also have a bottle of VG to experiment with.

However in your case, I would purchase the exact same flavor in a MUCH lower nicotine level and mix them, ,that way you are not wasting any juice.

That is how I am stepping down my nicotine level, starting on 24, then mixing 24 and 16 and then move to 16, then start mixing 16 and 8 etc

Thanks so much everyone! I really appreciate everyones help!
I haven't had a analog cig for 2 days (I'm a heavy smoker for 25+ years) and today I'm a bit ******!!!!!!!! to put it mildly. :p

Sorry, I vented there just a bit. I'm having issues with my Joye 510 and I'm getting ready to order the Mega battery for it which I hope will help since only having 2 batteries doesn't work...

Thanks again. everyone. Happy Vaping..

If you can live with the washed out taste, you can vary the nic level with just PG or VG. I've been doing that because right now, for me at least, nic levels seem to be varying. On the other hand, I have some Geoff's Blend from Tasty Vapor. It's pretty strongly flavored so diluting it isn't too sinful.

If you need to cut some right away, go to Walmart or CVS and buy 99.x% USP Glycerin - just plain glycerine. may be near the rubbing alcohol. It will make the juice thicker and may sweeten it a bit too (it's VG) but you can cut with that. You will also be cutting the flavor but if you need lower juice right now it's worth it.

I would order the same juice just a lower nicotine content and mix the two. Your going to dilute the taste and if you add VG, that's super thick and sweet. It'll probably taste differently.

I tried to do the exact same thing you're talking about doing and I didn't have good results.

You're right, of course. I did say it washed out the flavor. On the other hand, if you have the stuff to dilute and you don't want to wait, dilution is an option. Also one of the juices I happen to have is so strongly flavored I actually prefer it diluted. Full strength, it's like a dessert. Okay for a treat but, not something you'd eat all the time. I do think that while my nic needs are varying, I'll probably order heavy nicotine juice and the same flavor with no nicotine and dilute that way. While I'm waiting for the order though, I'll dilute as needed.

I tried it for my Mom who smokes tobacco flavors. She complained about the sweetness (but she's a bit of a complainer anyway ) But I did put the tip of my finger in the VG and it is pretty sweet stuff. Maybe great with the fruits or sweeter stuff.

If I didn't have any juice I'd give it a whirl to tide you over.

Some place like FSUSA you can order extra flavor. That way if you want to dilute it, you don't lose out on flavor and you'll get more juice that way. Saves money!

Actually when it comes to taste VG is some interesting stuff. By itself, it does taste very sweet. However, mixed with something it has more of a tendency to smooth rather than sweeten. I know that from my other hobby. My understanding is that in PVs it generates a lot more vapor than PG. I'm too inexperienced to know on that one though.
