Well, :toast: to you. I just received halfling and standard tanks in the mail today.

I've always had success with the Smok cartos (all sizes, including the XL), but many swear by Boge (which I've had some fails with). Both can be purchased just about anywhere and remember to get the flanged variety if you want your tank to have something to sit on.

The smoktech cartos that IBTanked provide are top notch. The flavor production the the of vapor they produce are incredible. You definitely won't be disappointed. I am very happy with my two tanks that I ordered a couple of weeks ago. I didn't know you could get this kind of flavor from vaping. Definitely going to order many more of the tanks. The customer service is also bar none. They have definitely earned my business for a very long time

I don't like the instructions for filling the tank given on the website. Just prime the carto put it in and fill around the carto? Or are their any tricks dealing with the air pressure in the tank to ensure you don't have a leaky tank?

From what I can gather (don't have one myself though I am interested) they're tanks come with whats called a "thingy" which is supposed to make priming cartos super easy, I have no idea how it works.

I love those tanks! They're easy to fill providing you either get their tank tool (or another one). I have both the Smoktech cartos from OCD and the flangeless Boge. I'm not so fond of the flangeless Boge - I'm constantly managing to dump juice when I refill - but that's just me:p I've never flooded a carto when filling, and I use a combination of three methods from Baditude, Ocelot, and the Thingy (becaue I once didn't prime one properly and killed it!).

I put a plastic drip tip in a drill chuck and sanded it down so that it was the same diameter as a carto. Then cut it from where the carto stops on the drip tip lip so it's basically halved up to the tip. Filled the carto end hole with drinking water safe epoxy to make juice pour off the edge into the tank and drilled a breather hole out the backside. I have a couple thingy's and other filler tips but this home-brew cut tip is the one I use for my carto tanks.

I like no flange for easy condom prime but mostly because ... push the old carto out with the new and not disturb juice in tank is priceless.

This. Hate loosing juice when I need to switch a carto. I liked the flanged smok cartos I got with my original IBTanked tanks, but I wanted to be able to hot swap cartos, so I switch to Boge. However, I may switch back to those Smok carts because then I can jiggle my thingy to prime. I found that that doesn't work without a flange.... Hmm... Or maybe I'll try the condom prime but that feels like it would waste juice.

Seriously no lost juice yet. I just fill the rubber cap about half way and slide the 510 end of the carto into it. The juice fills from the bottom up to the top. I typically let it sit for a few minutes and squeeze the bottom a bit to swish juice back and forth. Once most of the juice is absorbed I pull out the carto and put the top of it against the bottom of the old one in the tank and just slide them up through the juice in the tank while pushing the old one out the top. Once above the juice level I pull the old one out and squeeze out the last drop or two in the rubber end piece left over from priming into the top of the tank. Slide the new carto up the rest of the way through the top ring and let it sit for awhile.

I stocked up on flanged cartos for my locking and other tanks. Just gave away my last flange lock tank and handful of cartos the other day because the iBT tanks with flangeless is all I care to use anymore. Fast, easy and just plain the least amount of effort of anything I've tried. I don't even use my tanks with filler ports because I find them to be more effort/time.

Seems to me that the filler in Boge cartos is more dense than Smok cartos and imo that could make it harder to flood (which is a good thing). I have a tendency to draw in a hit a little on the hard side so im sure that has alot to do with my previous flooding issues because im probably sucking in more juice than the coil can vaporize however those issues only happen when I use the Smok brand. I will swear by the Boge lo res single coil double punched carts. They last me 3-4 weeks with no problems, good flavor and huge vapor. Love um! Vapelite.com is a Boge supplier and has really low prices and super fast shipping. A++ vendor!
