As of January 1st 2016 Vaping will be prohibited in Vape shops.
"As of 8:30 this am " SB 663 will not be heard today or ever again this session" said Sen Hass. This is good in terms of licensing not moving forward without sampling, but bad in terms of it is not moving forward with sampling and it was my last vehicle for sampling. We can now not Vape in Vape shops as of Jan 1, 2016.
Our fight now will be with local governments trying for taxes and other regulations as there will be no preemption in place (was on 663) for local governments.
Our fight now shifts from protecting our rights to getting them back as well as creating a strong voting block against our foes. NWVA needs to gain much strength to continue this fight. We will be holding fundraisers, membership drives, and build a plan of action. All Vape shops and in and out of state e-liquid manufactures much join the fight along with individual vaperers.
I will have a bill introduced in February geared to getting our vape shop exclusion back. This may have traction and it may not-given February next year is a short session.
Please hear NWVA plea to join the fight and build strength. The time is now. Show up to the fundraiser events, pressure your local shops to be members of NWVA Register to vote and watch for "who to vote for."
This session is not without success. We killed the flavor ban, the Internet ban, permitting, and taxes on vaping liquid and products. The Vape exclusion is a hard battle to lose, but we can get it back if we ban together and join the fight.
