For the Vertical INFRNL get a little hotness going and make an identical 1.8 ohms for the other side. Drop a cotton puff wick in both as some of the pictures around show and you will have a .9 Ohms.
Perfect for a first time sub ohms… not to low not too high.
You will need to use a decent mechanical device and some IMR or high amp batts though….
Ok. I only own mechs. So I am in good shape there. For batteries, I use aw's, the 24a efests and I have the 30a 2100mah sony's. I should be set.
Now to make 2 identical coils:laugh:

I have tried various positions for the airhole. It is a singl coil with wick ends going in both wells.
I have only been vaping for a month and typically stay around the 1.8-2.0 ohm mark. I will try a coil closer to 1 ohm and see what that does.
Thanks and I will report back. If I can get kfl amount of flavor as others claim, I will be in heaven. My kfl with 2.0 ohm micro coil puts out a ton of flavor

I hear you but imo KF and Origen is like apples and oranges…. yes, KF is big on flavor… and beats most drippers in flavor dept.
but dual coil drippers are killer for clouds, and Origen imo is the most flavorful cloudmaking dripper.
Yep you won't get quite as good flavor from a dripper imo, but as far as dual drippers go this is tops… its like a fine cigar that blows clouds and flavor for those times when you want to just blow out the cobwebs in your brain lol. or kick back with ultra vaping… I'm getting really good flavor with mine at .5 ohms (2x .95 ohms) though

The Origen has the best of both worlds. Definitely the best dripper in the market IMO. I used to think AFC was pointless and didn't see myself using it on the Origen but I actually do. If I really want more flavor or if my battery is dying I'll just tighten up the draw. Chain vaping I just open them up, except I've drilled the dual holes to 7/64 on the biggest hole and 3/32 on the middle.

I vape around .3 because I'm more on the cloud chaser side. Still gives out some damn good flavor though. Also looks amazing on my V.W. Nemmy.

I'm not sure where the best place to ask this is, but I found this thread.

I just got the origen dripper but I am not getting much flavor.
I made a 1.8ohm micro coil with cotton. I'm using the smallest single air hole becsuse the others are too airy.
My coil sits almost vertical/ slight angle

Any advice would appreciated

I get great flavor out of mine. I am running a dual coil (vertical @ 1.0ohm with cotton. Using the med. air hole. Produces large clouds.
Only had it a week. Next build will be @ .4 I am expecting Larger, more dense clouds at that resistance. Will see if the flavor drops of with the lower ohm

Thanks. I went ahead and built a dual coil setup. 1/16" bit and continuous wick using snc. It does seem that the med holes works well.
I am getting much better flavor now. I appreciate the quick responses to help. My coils ended up being .9 ohms!
I'm not a cloud chaser, just looking for good flavor and to help get me off the analogs. In 2 weeks; I went from 3 packs a day down to 1:D been smoking for 30yrs
Just for fun, I am going to try cotton ball.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it. Funny thing is a buddy told me to go sub ohm dual coil and i didn't listen to him. I guess that was the answer

Just make a regular coil but leave the legs a lot longer. You can bend the legs to however you want to place them. On another note you don't have to run them vertical. In fact some people are running them horizontal and leaving both ends of the wick soaking in the wells.

i tried horizontal, and found vertical was better in terms of flavor, and was warmer.

i'm running vertical coils at 0.4 ohms with 1 wick and it's working perfectly. no dry hits and good vapor/flavor

definitely my favorite rda
