I switch between #400 and #500 trying to see a difference... I honestly think my local vape shop only carrys 1 type and just sells it as #300, #400, and #500 :p Haven't tried holding them side to side to compare them tho, haven't bought any in months also since I was using it with my RSST xD When my Rayon gunks up I'll make a new coil for it genesis style and see how I like it :p

What Ω coil did you make? I'm kinda worried if I did my normal .4Ω build it wouldn't keep up :p Haven't used stainless steel since my genny days and I had to tilt it to get it to keep up with a 1.5Ω coil at 15 watts...

I built dual verticals using 28g to get around 0.6ohms. 2mm ID micro coils. Wicking was fine with this build. I can vape the wells dry. However for the origen like turbo mentioned, I do get a more diluted flavor after awhile I think due to the condensation or cooking of the juice in the wells. Thought it was only me. Though the first day of vaping is usually great.

if you do try that definitely let us know the results :D

Well, I did... Built two ~2.0Ω 3mm ID 28ga 10 wrap coils for a total of 1.04Ω (fuctuates between 1.0~1.1Ω on my Cloupor display). I used the center post hole and pulled the upper (+) legs as close to the nut as I could without shorting. However, there was no way I could attach the lower coils to the (-) screws unless I placed them transversal, not facing the center as I wanted. I'll try again later with shorter coils of 30ga.

In any case, the build was a success and it's vaping huge and intense at 15W (3.7V) over 1.1Ω. I faced the largest holes of the bell at 45° to the center of the coils. It's drawing super! The only problem is that it's draining one of my Sony VTC5's like a one year calf sucking on its mother's tit.

Dripping my Spiced Mandarin Oolong natural extract DIY, 50/50, 0 nic. As I said, huge and intense, great VFTH even with no nic. Love this combo!

You think that wicks / tastes better than wicking thru the coils?

Hi Tbev! No, actually the vapor increased about twofold but —at least with the juice I tried and for the brief time I kept that build– the flavor muted.

I'm trying several types of through the coil wicks on the last pair I made (the transversal ones photo'ed) some extremely convoluted —between the posts, under them, over, short long, figures 8, etc... but so far the simplest has proven to be the best.

Right now I'm vaping on a pair of simple squared moustaches reaching down to the deck with the ends, just touching it like four brooms. I kind of fluffed the ends before cutting them level to the deck on each side and just gently pushed them in with a toothpick. They're sucking up the juice great and, literally, dry the well. Hey it's a superb dripper, super easy to build, holds a lot of juice, has decent AFC and lots of it, and it's one of the best I've used. Used to swear by the Orieco Storm-A and I wanted a Magma but now I'm not so sure it would offer any kind of improvement over this one.
