Hi,
I have an original Origen Genesis V2 and I like it a lot. It vapes great and use it a lot. I have seen posts about my issue, but it doesn't seem to apply to me.

So, the problem is those two o-rings inside the top cap. They are so tight, it is impossible to take the top cap off. I have tried using only one o-ring, but that doesn't change much. I have taken one o-ring out and put some pressure on it with pliers to squeeze the diameter down a bit.

That worked great, and I thought finally I can take the top cap off without breaking my fingers. But the o-rings got back into their original shape after a few minutes and it is impossible again to take the top cap off.

Are there any o-rings with the exact same dimensions that are made out of a softer material?

Any help is appreciated, because I use a screwdriver to ply the top cap off and it scratches it up pretty bad...

It's the one of the only 2 things I don't like about the atty. I think they resolved the issues on the latest version. tank removal and topcap removal just plain suck. For filling, I just remove the threaded part of the top cap...I also took out the fill plug to make it quicker and easier. That means I only have to remove the cap for rebuilding of rewicking. I removed one of the orings too. The problem is they swell.
Thrashers idea may work and I'll give it a try. Performance wise, it's the best tank I've ever used...so I'm considering the newer version. The tank isn't threaded on anymore and they redesigned the top cap assembly. They also made a 6ml version but from the looks of it, you wont be able to pull wicks from the bottom. There's a honeycomb inner tank instead of the pillars.....stupid, Norbert....real stupid.

Thanks guys for your input, I'll give the sandpaper a try. I also saw the new Mk2 of the origen genesis v2 and am going to get it for sure. But it is a real shame, because the one I have performs very very well, except for that removal of the top cap part. I saw that there are two versions of the new Mk2 genny, the 4ml one looks not much different but the 6ml one has that honeycomb thing going on, I'll go with the 4ml version.

What I did in the meantime is, remove one o-ring and dump the other one in a pool of pure VG, that does help, but it also leaks a little bit...

Thanks again.
