My second car was another Dodge Dart... a year newer (1965). The 1st one had only lasted about a year, and I paid for this one myself, $600... It lasted a lot longer, until somebody rear-ended me!!

The first truck I ever bought was a 78 ford f100. 4x4, 4 speed granny geared, powered by the 400 four barrel, it was a beast, took me all through the logging trails around the Black Hills of South Dakota. My girlfriend at the time couldn't drive it, the clutch was so stiff it took a pretty strong leg

Had a 80 Monza for a few years - mine was dark blue, sunroof, 4 cylinder, 4 speed. Nice car but when kids came along we needed something bigger.

Another driving story from my long past....

Studying for my driver's test my Pop allowed me to drive him anywhere possible, I got a lot of experience and many good tips. I drove to the test and passed with flying colors. When I exited the building with my brand new shiny driver's license my Pop said "give me the keys" and he drove home. It was literally decades before he again rode in a car while I was driving. Goes to explain why he started getting gray hair I guess....

but of course I soon tired of it....and soon after getting my first job bought me a 1966 Mustang Coupe, black on black:

I'm not really in this contest because we are going away, but our second car was a '68 road runner. It was turquoise, and had the tail lights with the red paint going around so it looked like they continued all the way across.

We had to sell it to my brother in law to pay the property taxes. He's still got it, and it wins a lot of first prizes at the car shows.
