My first truck was a '71 Chevy C20, not this clean but pretty similar,

My friends would ask how much money I had into it, "All of it" was my favorite response, I was always working on that thing, I loved that it was smog exempt while I had it.

Is it just me or does it seem to everyone that many of the first cars pictured, if they were polished up nice today, restored a bit, would be better retirement savings than our 401K's......

12/17 My final first - This is the 1st brand new car ever purchased, it was a 1976 Mustang II Cobra and I loved this car....



that is until, I was rear-eanded on the interstate less than two years later, it wasn't so pretty then....



but after the healing process, I purchased my 2nd New car and the last one in my life, and I still have it. My hubby and I restored it and it currently only comes out when the weather is nice.

Yep, still here. Been here since 98 on this trip. Not quite as many Skylines around as there used to be. Knew lot of guys that had them over the years and drove a couple but never owned one - always went for something that was better for the beach and fishing.

When they wouldn't let me stay I went back and right away started working on getting back. Was here 84-88, ....96 and this time 98. Retired in 01, stayed and was without SOFA for almost 6 months before I got a GS job. Now I play the extension game every 2 years and it's getting rougher every time.
