What cultures other then your own do you find most intriguing and why?

The Canadian/French Canadian culture. I love Canadian People & their country and most of all I love hockey and that goes together with their country better than anything else, I think! Well they also have great beer, so that's just perfect...Good Beer & Hockey, don't get much better than that!!! :toast:

It would be nice to know something about old Ukrainian culture - one of my Grandfathers was born there and the family immigrated when he was very young.

I keep forgetting to add this.

I had got some batteries with my win from a couple weeks back (added a few extra to the order as well) and they came in earlier this week. The hand written note was very nice and the gift wrapping put a smile on my face.

I have always been fascinated by the Celtic culture....Herne the Hunter is a popular Pagan God....I know many stories about him....but there is always more to find out....By Celtic I mean all of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, the Isle of Man, and Brittany...

The Persion Empire spanned many centuries (sometimes under different names), yet it is often thought of in terms of the enemy of the west, given its threat toward the city-states of ancient Greece and conflict with Alexander the Great. At the same time, however, it flourished with its own style of architecture, art, and metalworking. It also was the birthplace of Zoroastrianism, which paved the way for several new ideas in philosophy and heavily influenced later religions such as Judaism and Christianity.

Look up Cernunos ( the Celts horned god and archetype of the Christian devil (biblically, Lucifer was beautiful, not horned and scary)) and my favorite Celtic goddess Epona (the reason ponies got their name, and why we have "nightmares". But one of my all time favorite Celtic lore is that of the "Tuatha de'Danan" or children of Dana (another of the many Celtic goddesses). Tales of these beings are ripe with magic and wonder. These were the true elves of Celtic lore (more lord of the rings less keebler :p). No one weaves a tale incorporating history and mysticism like the Celts :p
