On a family trip when I was a kid we stopped at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum. I thought A.J. Foyt's sprint car was the coolest thing there.

When I was a kid, I loved coming to Stonington, Maine in the summer, where I could play on the beach and visit my aunts all day long.

Now that I live here year round it's different, with the long winters and no money. This place is still a paradise for summer visitors though, and it really is beautiful.

Another place that I had a lot of fun at was a card room/bowling alley in my hometown called Big Daddy's, as it was the first place I ever played poker (except small home games of course). I was 19 when I played there for the first time, and even though I didn't cash in that first tournament I have been hooked ever since. Probably because I came back that same night and made almost $600 playing $4-$8 limit hold em for around 8 hours straight

In fact I played there quite a bit from 2006-2009, and I would be willing to bet that I made at least $20,000 in profit during that time (if not more) :)

Unfortunately it's now called "Hugo's on the Hill", and it's no longer very popular, so they don't run tournaments anymore (not sure if they even run cash games). Luckily there are still a few other small card rooms, and one large casino near me :D
