original copper end cap

so i lost the end cap at a party went to lowes and bought a new one drilled a hole in it
but the spring i could get seems heavier than the original. will this affect the performance?
kinda seems like it does not have as much power or is it just me

It's not the strength of the spring that will influence current flow, it's the material it is made out of that will.
Might want to look into getting a "hot spring" from AltSmoke.
