Yeah, Cari hooked me up, thank you!

SWEET JESUS! I don't want a piece of art, I want a tank! The GG is out of my price range, and "pretty". I think I'd break off the brass switch in less than a week!

Think of it this way, I am the guy that can break an anvil in the sand box! I do concrete, I do tree work, I drive 100 miles each way to cut a load of wood by myself, I weld in sandals, I have jacked housed up six inches to level them, I only own ONE stock chainsaw! I've come home and had to wring out my underwear after twelve hours in the sleet/freezing rain and snow.
I'm THAT guy.

lol...I'm an ironworker..I'm that guy too...the one that drops PVs from 8 stories up to have an I beam set down on them..or into a just barely not frozen river from a bridge deck..
here's the question..do you want Hige voltage capabilities...if not you could probably get away with an eGo...yeah it's a stock 510 battery..but it's a 10+ hour stock battery..the cone on em will fit over a carto but stiffens up the draw something fierce..no recessed battery though and proprietary batteries..kinda cheap way to go..
theres the chuck and little chuck, xhaler, sb, chameleon...but all of them I'd be worried about dropping and the connection point between the housing and the carto..and things accidentally getting snapped off.. box mods? DIY box mods? bartleby (box mod but not diy)? that ones pretty decent price and you get some options

The V4L XL lasts plenty, but I know it wont take the abuse I am going to give it, so any "normal" e-cig batt is really out IMO.

The Chuck Jr. really came to my heart, but the switch is a deal killer for me. It sticks out like a sore thumb and I know I will break it.

I like the recessed button of the SB, but I am not sure it's recessed enough, same as the Protege, and I have heard? of switch issues with both.

I'm not at all worried about HV, 3.7 is fine for my usage, a recessed area for the carto/more adapter area is high on my priority list! I think? if I can find a case that holds it on a belt carto down I might have a fighting chance, but? It's bad enough when I am climbing trees, cutting wood and poring concrete the smokes and lighter stayed in the truck. But I am very inclined to do stupid things at in-opertune times!

Lol well theres at least one footer that has a zippo and a pack of smokes somewhere in it..and a wall that has a little VK time capsule..and a 510 that I broke at the battery/atty connection point on the edge of an I-beam..so I know what you're saying..

I wen't through the same when I was looking for a first pv...and unfortunately I found nothing...best I came up with was a rugged as heck case to protect my stuff..I'm using an eGo myself now one set up for 510 and one with an adapter and a carto..and a superT S6 on order (but we've already determined that you don't like those) ...so I'd say chuck jr..and a nice pelican case to protect it when you aint vaping on it..
EDIT: chuck jr switch..I've heard that you can protect the button by using one of the silicone rings from a carto...supposedly it fits right around em

Drodz...the Super 6 and cartomizers...is there a thread about how these work?
he makes em either with an 801 tip, or 510, or a 901..cartos should work right on the 901 tip..
I'm getting a 510 model but I have a 510 to 901 adapter...
and he's working on a 4 in 1 connector that when it's released you'll be able to thread 801,510,901, and cartos on without adapters or changing anything..
Honestly..I'd just ask in their sub forum I'm sure he'll answer you or one of the people that already have one will..I'm still waiting on mine

Sounds like I need to get with Ady and see if she had dimensions on a solid switch, then spend a couple of days in the machine shop.
Sucks, because I don't have the time right now, not with looking at getting a new heater/A/C unit installed now:evil:
probably the best bet if you're looking for something built like a sherman.. there really just isnt anything...I've looked..just varying degrees of destroyability...
there was the GLV but I've heard bad things about the softness of their threads and quickness to strip out...someone accidentally sat on his while it was on the couch and it broke/stripped out..and that ain't the heavy duty build I'me looking for..
temporary solution like I said...pelican cases are nice..crushproof, lifetime waranty, water resistant to like 10 feet down, floats, oring and pressure equalization valve..carabiner to hang it from..or loops for straps on the ends..and like $16-$17

My son ran over his Chuck with a forklift and it came out fine except for a little chip in the paint. Actually, I think he's done that twice now.

Someone has posted about putting an O ring around the switch and a little piece of electrical tape and he keeps his in his pocket and says he doesn't' have any problems with it turning on. You could get the Little Chuck to fit your pocket and still have an all day battery.

Edit to add: Works great with the V4L cartos. I use them on mine all the time now. Vaping Heaven!

I was looking at GGs yesterday, too, and have lingered over others. It's a bucketload of money but they are indeed pretty. Still... I love the feel of batts - the whole worry-bead-like soothing thing is so nice... I always seem to have one in my hand, a nice tactile thing. With my kensington power pack seems like I can get PT power whenever I need it, so can't quite see why bother. But dunno, as I haven't had the experience. Honestly, no matter how niftily designed, not sure that I'd be pleased by that handful of paraphernalia on my face.

Aww heck just go for a bunch of custom parts from the saber shop... totally geek out and build yourself a lightsaber replica handle with em..pack it full of alynn's eloctronic gizmos, and LEDs and other things I don't quite understand, and then a 901 thread with the carto in there where the "blade" would normally come out..

Until the VK1 is available do as I did and build your own box mod or flashlight mod. I didn't want pretty or expensive either.

Just finished a flashlight mod last night and am testing it now. Found a metal low profile mechanical switch there is no way you can tear it up. With the master on/off switch of the flashlight there will be no accidental fire ups in my pocket either. Didn't care for the ground connection of the flashlight so reworked it myself. Parts were really cheap for experimentation. If this thing proves out I will probably build another one out of a mag light with no led for more toughness with lots of epoxy in critical areas.

When I work I plan to unscrew the cart and carry them separately in my pocket. Used an 18490 (18500) battery which is rated 3.7 volts and 1600 mAh so it will literally last me all day no matter how long my day is.

You want the BB. Its small, the battery lasts 1 to 2 days without changing and the button is recessed. And it works non-stop without fail. Only thing is you dont have a 6V option with this mod. And if your going to buy a mod you really need to have choice in your vaping voltage. I know you have said you are happy at 3.7v but let me tell you that you really dont know what your missing.
