Here are a couple of pics from our record snowfall. These pictures were taken yesterday morning, only a few miles from Rockwall (Hi WitchWay!).

Hiya Pawpaw!! It was crazy here and my daughter just told me the weather channel is calling for more snow next weekend. Of course that will change 10 times between now and then.

At least we are not bouncing from 70 one day to 30 the next, to back to 70 again. We're just staying cold this year LOL

I know what you mean. The local TV stations have been freaking out over the record snowfall, but I think it's really turned out to be a non-event. I guess the roads were bad Friday morning, but I really don't know. The company I work for decided to close.

I drove my sister to work in Commerce last night because of the predicted freeze that was supposed to happen this morning. I had absolutely not problem going to pick her up. Trust me, if the roads are the least bit slippery, my diesel pickup will let me know.

Thank you! The snow is all but gone now and the whole place has turned into one big, muddy bog. We've had a ton of rain this winter and the melted snow made it that much worse.

Of course, come July, we'll look back on this when we wish for rain.

Oh mud...fun

I was out today and after our 2+ feet of snow it just looks ugly. The roads are bordered by brown snow walls. And I can only imagine the amount of mud I will be cleaning up from my dogs once this stuff starts to melt down.

All the nice fluffy snow is gone. =( I had 4 inches, and probably would have been more if it was colder. I haven't seen it this fluffy before. We are supposed to get more snow Sunday night/ early Monday morning.
We made snowmen, a small fort, snowball fights and I put bowls out to collect clean snow and made snow cream later in the night.
