Other than health, why do prefer vaping over smoking?

1- not having to go outside to vape. I live in Phoenix...enough said!
2- I don't stink... neither do my clothes
3- vaping doesn't leave nice stains on my fingers
4- my car doesn't stink
5 -my pv is easier to light in the wind
6- so many flavors, so little time...I have tons of variety now
7- I can smell things now.. (note that this isn't always good)
8- I can vape ANYWHERE - in my office, in my car, in my home, in bed, in restaurants and stores...everywhere
9- I can breathe easier and don't feel like I have crud in the bottom of my lungs
10- I like to tinker with gadgets.

Notice that I didn't mention saving money? That's only because I haven't met my break even point yet...and with my want for bigger and better devices and more gadgets, it may be a while... SWMBO just talked me off the cliff again today. She doesn't get why I NEED to spend ANOTHER $100 on something when what I already have is working fine. Damned practical people!

Thanks

Geo

One that I totally didn't see coming: This last week, I had to fly to and from Denver, CO from Louisville, KY. I'm a scared to death sort of plane passenger. Even on the total of 6 hour ride home ( had a layover that had a delay.) I didn't start craving nicotine until about hour FIVE. That's CRAZY for me. When I was a smoker ( DANG! That felt super good to type, too. :)I couldn't go an hour without getting very twitchy. Five would've been murderous for me. I even prepared with a package of Nicorette gum, that I didn't even have to use. :)

You know, I just really like tasting good flavors instead of ashtrays.

Until vaping, I never realized how much I didn't like the taste of burning tobacco. Over the years, the cost of smokes had driven me to choose cheaper and cheaper brands, just to get my fix, so I long ago lost the appreciation of having a favorite tobacco. Then I realized I could get all the things I wanted -- the hand-mouth thing, the nic hit, the social interaction (people who smoke, or used to, are just my kind of folks), the excuse for a quick break-in-the-action to think while I work -- I could have it all while I tasted GOOD stuff instead of smoke!

I may never settle down to one, two or even six "all day vapes." I change up flavors all the time. I love going from strawberry milkshake to cinnamon roll to butterscotch to cappuccino to tangerine ... all without a calorie!

I just like knowing that I don't smell and that Im not subjecting my family to my second hand smoke...I know there are no studies on second hand vapor but its got to be better then the smoke.

Also after 6 months my cravings are gone. Even though I have been on 18 mg since the beginning I find that I can go without vaping a lot longer then cigs.

Actually there are studies on second hand vapor. go to CASAA u well find them there, second hand vapor is harmless. Please join and help fight for,our right to Vape.

i wish! you must need more toys!! :D

For me I vape for multiple reasons.

faster metabolism
feeling of alertness
appetite suppressant
No chemicals compared to smoking
No stink
No staining (yellow)
No (known) toxic second hand smoke

Yeah thats about it.

wait..wha? tell me more! :)

- vaping in between clients and no one knows!
- not wasting a cig after two hits because that is all i have time for
- expands the dating pool ( LOL )
- vaping dessert
- toys
- customization (prettiest thing i ever had as a smoker was a pink bic lighter)
- tinkering
- having a regular use for my multimeter

(i am sure there are many many many more)

I'm with Steph on this one:
I found new friends here!

That is a huge plus, if there ever was a 'smokers forum' I never found it, nor did I look actually but I doubt that the people on there would have been as happy and positive and upbeat as the wonderful folks you find here at ECF!! We have all come together, left, right, middle and we are all about one thing, having each others backs when the going gets tough! I do love this forum!

I love gadgets and watching people react to my Eroll is very entertaining. Sometimes they think it will stink when the look drifts their way, sometimes they act like it stinks, sometimes they know what it is and I need to represent, and other times they act like they just caught cancer. It's pretty entertaining to see how people think.

Shopping!
The only time I ever sort of shopped for cigarettes was when visiting Delaware, where every year I picked up a zillion cartons of the same stupid brand tax free and put them in the trunk thinking of all the neat stuff I'd rather be buying with that money.
Spending money on cigarettes was like spending money on car repairs, don't wanna, sigh, gotta.
Shopping for ecig stuff is a gas.

Cost, shmost. :D
