First off, please feel free to move this if it is in the incorrect location! I figured that the DIYers would best be able to answer this even though it isn't *strictly* ejuice related.

I had blueberry syrup on my grocery shopping list today, but I felt the need to commit the cardinal sin of <gasp> reading the label. After looking at the ingredients (high fructose corn syrup being the number one) and the price, I started wondering if anyone has had any luck making their own flavored syrups. I know PA has an extra strength blueberry that I'm curious about. Pre-ecig, I already had some Loranns laying around that I used for flavoring truffles at Christmas time so I know that whenever I get a flavor that I don't like vaping, I can still find a use for it. So basically, I'm getting curious about making my own syrup for pancakes/waffles/etc using PA flavorings and wonder if anyone else has had any success with it!

Sure, you can use it for any food stuff. Most flavorings are made for that purpose originally (but not Seedman's for example). We have just .......ized them for our purposes. Many food recipes will even tell you that you can substitute certain flavorings if you want to save on the calories - such as brandy flavoring for actual brandy.

Sometimes, I put some flavoring in a family member's oatmeal or coffee when I'm bored.

I put it in my pancake mix too. Try apple and cinnamon. I will never eat plain pancakes again!

Capellas Vanilla Custard in pancake batter is heavenly! I generally put a 1/4 teaspoon of van extract in them, but the VC adds a richness that is really nice.

I think we often brag that the flavorings in juices are food flavors, with that offhanded way of saying "They're just food flavors!", and then forget that they are primarily used for food! :D

I put a few drops of Capella's vanilla custard in my water sometimes.... I also just put regular vanilla extract in my water too tho.

Everyone thinks this is totally weird.

I keep thinking about putting some of the fruit flavors in water but can never remember. With a little Splenda and the flavoring I have my own flavored water for much less than I can buy them.
