So. Thought this would be nice to share in the form of a question

Has anyone ever been vapping in bed anup put your ecig down to do somthing and all of a sudden your .... cheek starts to feel a pinching feeling. Then you realize that your being burned by your ecig cus its uunder your .... and your sitting on the switch?

Yeah. That just happened. Lol

I had a super mini w/ an auto battery that was behind my ear and had this happen before. The auto battery's switch must be going out because it does self-activate sometimes. The heat did not burn me and I did noticed it pretty quickly.

Yup!!! done that thoit was my leg on the sofa and the cig had rolled under my thigh... ouch!!!

And this is why the cutoff time exists on most batts and passthroughs! Though this has not happened to me, I have had a pass through croak on me while I was holding it. The little circuit board for the momentary switch failed (which incidentaly is also what controls the cutoff time) and the atty got hotter, and hotter, and hotter. By the time I noticed it had left a pretty good burn welt on my palm and I dropped it. When i got it unplugged the atty was ruined (melted the cart inside the atty) Oh well, had backups.
