I started on the metro, and as speculated by others, it is what got me to research the internet for a better vape and what got me to ECF. The Metro is actually not that bad of a basic e-cig. Their menthol flavor was very good, but of course the vapor and TH are very minimal. If you inhale on the Metro for about 5 seconds, it was still good enough for me that it held me over until my e-power arrived. Battery life is really poor, but it is as expected from a 100s style e-cig. I actually ended up passing my Metro off to a friend of mine, who is now happily smoke free because of it. He does keep bumming my ECBlens juices every day, to refill the cartos, but I will remedy that this week by buying him his own bottle:vapor::toast:

I suggest there are many more vapers "in the wild" than we realize.
They just aren't openly vaping in pubic because they don't want to
draw negative attention.
...

I think, too, that there may be more "sometimes vapers" out there than the typical ECF threads might have us think-- people who buy them for use in the ever increasing number of places where they can't smoke and don't really have quit-smoking expectations. If that's the case, those OTC jobs, disposable or otherwise, probably do the job just fine.

I think it's encouraging that large retail chains are carrying them mainly because they likely have, and may be willing to use, clout in opposition to bans and draconian regulation.

True in one sense but we are learning that the little e-cig companies although they may fight for vaping, they'll throw flavors and anything but their system (cartos that are prefilled) which includes larger PV's (they typically against anything that sounds like "mod,") and liquid juice under the bus to win favors with the regulators. Just be aware of this. It would be nice if Lorrilard (who just bought Blu) would stick up for the future of vaping and either join hands with their juice supplier (Johnson Creek) who has just put out a larger PV or come up with their own PV and join hands with e-liquid although right now, they are in the same boat at Metro when it comes to their product line.

I think it's the hat. I believe fedoras do that to people. And there's nothing wrong with that, I eventually plan to get one myself, especially for when travelling. Heh, if only I wasn't spending so much money on PV equipment right now that it. :)

I'm over 60 with a Type A personality and couldn't care less what others
might think or even say ... So if your in the St. Louis, MO area and see
an older guy wearing a Fedora and vaping ... That's me
:)

That's one of the advantages of reaching a "riper age":)

When I use a PV out in the open, I prefer to wear sunglasses, so they don't notice my shifting eyes to check if they are looking at me.
