Not sure if the Boge Leo has been mentioned, but I love it. Just upgraded from the Joye eGo and I'm loving this. Direct dripping is great on this, and there's LR atty's available. Check YouTube out, and there's some threads here on it----haven't seen anyone unhappy with it yet. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...r-s-25-12-days-christmas-sale-starts-now.html and http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ego-type-models/146243-boge-leo.html#post2340544

The Mad Vaper is where I got mine. Great customer service and super fast shipping. I think he's sold out on them now but will be getting a new shipment --Wait, just saw on the thread he's got a couple left. 25% off with hollyjolly10 discount code. Tell him I sent ya if ya get one.

Btw....this is a gorgeous, classy device. Also, I was always getting leakage with the eGo. Rarely getting it with the Leo.

Have I mentioned awesome vapor?

So, say I get the Precise 18650.. How long does the battery last? Any downside to the unit as far as design, battery life?

I'm ordering the 18650 precise soon myself....so I'm basing my experience off of owning a super 6 (the super T line before the precise came out)...

the build quality is phenominal...being that it's all mechanical there's really nothing to be able to break, and since it's all stainless it does have a lifetime warranty...if need be you can even wash the freaking thing out...I work heavy heavy construction and I've had my super6 run over by heavy machinery and dropped in mud all sorts of other horrors...and it keeps going....unless I were buying a juice feeder I wouldn't buy any other device (and when the super T VV box and integrated feeder comes out well all bets are off)..
the bottom button actually becomes really natural in feel quickly (do this take your eGo and rest the end of it on your pinky...fingers wrapped over it, index finger wrapped over the cone and thumb on the button pointing toward you...now kinda just squeeze your hand..you'll feel your index finger and thumb kinda pull the eGo down against your pinky... that's all it is just kinda flexing/squeezing your hand)

but the horns on either side of the button do help prevent pocket missfires..not saying it couldnt happen if you shove it in your pocket with a bunch of other stuff but I've never had it happen

as for battery life ...well that all depends on what atty you're using...the quality of the battery....and you're vape habits..
but I can help break it down from a math standpoint...
let's say you're using a 1.5Ω LR atty... and lets say you're using a 2900mAh redilast 18650 battery...
the LR atty at 3.7V has an amp draw of 2.47A (or 2470mA)
so 2470mA divided by 2900mA (of the battery) means a discharge rate of .85C
since that battery rating is 2900mAh we have to divide that hour by the same C rate
so that'd be 70 minutes (if you were holding the button down continuously) ...or 4235 seconds
so we break that down by how long you hold the button on average and how often on average you hit that button...
4235 seconds continuous is like 1411 (3 second long) button presses or 847 (5 second long) presses..
so how often are you hitting the button?
(that's like 11 hours solid of hitting the button twice a minute every minute for 3 seconds by the way or (7 hours with 5 second long button presses))

anyway those numbers would change with an atty of a different resistance (compare to like 7058 continuous seconds with a 2.5Ω atty)...
they'd also change with difference in batteries (and the only ones I'll use are AW or redilast)
and of course depending on how heavy you're hitting it

but 11 hours solid for a drag every 30 seconds doesn't seem too shabby to me and I'd call that pretty heavy usage

by the way also repeating this:
Precise 16340: 18.5mm x 74mm
Precise 18650: 20mm x 104mm

an eGo is 14mm in diameter... that's the size of a AA battery...
and as far as batteries go their number IS the size measurements of the cell
so a 16340 is 16mm x 34mm and an 18650 is 18mm x 65mm
so ceasar's claim about the precious.... well...lets just say that all aren't in agreement of his claim that they are the smallest
seems the reality is that the precise is thinner but longer than the precious (so which qualifies as smaller?)

won't even bother with it...
their LR is a myth when their LR is still higher resistance than a standard 510 atty...
and it's a proprietary atty...
and it's not even 3.7V
and I think it looks tacky....who wants a PV that looks as if their little sister got to it with a bedazzler...why do people think cheap rhinestones look classy?

No need to be nasty. This wasn't addressed to you anyway, but to the OP.

You obviously haven't researched it, or you'd see this is working better then those that have 6v. And it is a 3.7, so don't know why you say it isn't.

Ah well....that's why there's different devices out there. Different stokes for different folks. But perhaps next time you won't be so quick to slam someone's brand new eCig that they're happy with and have taken the time to try and help someone looking to replace their old one.

Peace.

WOW the 18650 is only slightly larger in diameter than a US Dime?? it looks so huge in videos.. this might change things..

The Buzz from notcigs.com looks really poor quality, no offense I'm sure they're fine, but looks not so good in the quality department..I like the little button though

Let me assure you, the quality of the Buzz is outstanding as is the CS from Buzzkill. The looks of the device may not be to your liking, however, and he is aware that may be an issue for some people and is partly the reason for the creation of his Infinity (∞).

Here is a pic of the soon to be released ∞:

Infinity_Kit_4d01a5a25f7da.jpg

The beauty of the Buzz may be up for debate, but the quality of his device is not, IMO.

Looking forward to the release on that sweet little number (∞) for out and about. VV is where it's at, my friends.

ETA: Here is a link to real Buzz user ratings you might find interesting as they are not all roses and bling, but honest observations from real owners. http://www.ecigarette-mods.com/buzz/

the point was...obviously you didn't read the OP...you just wanted to toot your Leo horn...
I'm glad you're happy with what you got and that you like it...
but read what the actual OP wants rather than trying to sell what you got....

and yes I have looked at the leo and no it isn't 3.7V
Leo’s battery is 800 mAh (slightly more than the Riva and Elegant, but less than the mega eGO) and ~3.4V (i.e., the same as all the other fat batts).
from http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...apin-cape-wonderful-not-quite-perfect-pv.html
there's a difference between voltage and voltage when loaded

because to quote the OP:
However.. I'm outgrowing my eGo, it's served me well but i need something more out of vaping. I don't have a huge understanding of the batteries, voltages, and mods but I'd like some help from you all on my next ecig purchase. So i'll post my questions in list form to make them easy to answer, and thank you all again!

1. I've got my eye on the Precious L, but production is weary, is there anything similar or BETTER that's available in america? I'm not really looking to use 6v as I like longevity in my atomizers.
similar or better than that specific mod... and you come up with the Leo?... seriously?....no where even close to the same class...like suggesting a smart car to someone asking for something similar to a ferrari

2. I really like low resistance atomizers, love them. I drip with LR and i'll never look back, can you use LR atomizers with those big boy e cigs such as the precious L?
here's a tipping point... by LR I assume the OP means something lower than the standard resistance of 2.2Ω of the joye 510 atty... the leo is somewhere up in the range of 3Ω with it's standard atty... the boge LR atty is 2.5Ω... and when asked about it they've stated that they do not intend to make any lower than that...so it's a proprietary atty that at it's lowest resistance is still higher than the standard resistance of what he already has...

3. How mobile are these custom e-cigs? Do you guys travel with them?
custom...if by custom you mean that you can pick the color then I guess your suggestion may qualify

4. I really really enjoy high quality, well made, made to last construction. The eGo, allthough its doing it's job, feels a bit cheap to me. Keep that in mind when you're recommending something :) Although I hear they have new XL batteries and attys. hm..
again high quality, well made, made to last construction.... the eGo feels cheap...
the leo is essentially a riva which is essentially an eGo... with a pointless extra endcap and cheap rhinestones...and a proprietary atty that no one else is making

I'll put my 2 cents in. If you like 3.7v, all mechanical, then look at an Icon by puresmoker. I carry this with me all over. Takes a protected 14500 tenergy 3.7v battery. Battery last me all do. One problem with it, only tenergy batteries fit it. I've never had a single problem with it. No misfires, nothing.

If you want something higher, go with a GGTB from vaporkings. Can run on a 14500 protected battery for 3.7v vaping or 2 16340 batteries 3.7v for 7.4v vaping. At the higher voltage, use HV atties. Dislike is the 901 atty. Imeo is making a 510 cap for these but won't be available for a couple more months. Very well built mod but is heavier than the Icon.

I'm sure other people will pipe in on their opinions as well. I like both of these mods and haven't had any issues with them.

You sir, are thorough. I really appreciate you hitting each point, and thank you for the mathematical breakdown of mAh to resistance by average mean of use.. That's a really intelligent way of estimating usage/hour. And you're a fellow Ohioan, I trust you. In your honest opinion, is the craftsmanship of the "P18" as it's called, good enough to last me a few years? and I think I'm settled on 18650, I didn't realize they were that small. In the videos it always looks like someone hot boxing a soda can

@Mtnlioness; I appreciate your input, I really do.. the Boge Leo was mentioned earlier, I understand the ecig business is new, and the business model is a little tangled. The number of great companies is completely dwarfed by the poor quality companies that saturate the market and everyone has their brand, I will tell you the Boge leo is not something I would consider using, and I'm going to say this just as a friendly critique, I think the vapor cloud pictures are a bit misleading. I see those pics all the time, and I feel like they entice new buyers into thinking that particular PV is the best for vapor production, when really there are so many other variables. Personally, I see clouds like that from my eGo, but if you'll read I would gladly throw it in the trash and burn it.

EDIT: I'm not here for a sales pitch, I need some honesty and some opinions based on the criteria I presented. If you truly back a product, I'll give it a look, but please read at least the initial post..

Thanks again guys, this is great!

It will last a lifetime, and has a lifetime warranty
listed on first line of features and specs Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products.

Thanks B-Rad .. I'm leaning toward the Precise now after everything that's been said here.. Still haven't ordered yet, however.. waiting for some last minute breaking news about a titanium mod with platinum gravity switches.

By the way.. I REALLY wish Super T manufacturing would hire a web designer.. I'd be willing to do a free, amazing, classy website for them to match their product quality.. comic sans is a SIN.

EDIt: In fact, anyone know anyone over at Super T? I'd like to see if they'd be interested in a new site.. their site as it stands is an outrage.

Not offering up a sales pitch, per se, just commenting regarding the aesthetics vs. quality assumption regarding the Buzz.

A little more personal technical detail for you:

I run the Buzz at 4.3 volts using 3.2 or 3.3ohm cartos. It uses two (2) 16340s 880maHs rated at 3.6v (but tests at 4.2 fresh off the charger with my meter). I get approx 8 hours heavy vaping on this set-up. Lower voltage at same ohms would give you longer time of these batts, I have tried it when I first got it at 3.7 or less and it gave me almost 12hours. Of course, dropping the ohms on the carto decreased battery time, somewhat, kinda, sorta, maybe not?( I have some that are in the 2.0 - 3.0 range -- just not my cuppa joe, anymore and don't really worry about that at this point, maybe it's the other way around???)

The beauty of the Buzz(or any other VV, or big batt mod for that matter) is that LR atties are not necessary, required, nor recommended as the same effect that you receive with an LR atty on a 3.7v or lower PV can be obtained by adjusting voltage on the device itself and using higher resistance atties/cartos. Although, I do know of some who continue to use them on the low end and love them. The Buzz is also regulated, meaning that the voltage that you set it at is consistent from the beginning to the end of the battery run. A huge plus, in my book, as consistency is difficult to obtain with more traditional PVs. You can get it with any number of native connectors, 510 included.

The BB is an excellent device if you're looking to stay in the 3.7v grouping. I've used Trustfire and Ultrafire 14500s 900 mah (I think it's 900, don't have it here in front of me) batteries rating at 3.7v but actually comes off the charger at 4.2v. A run time on this with the HR cartos I mentioned earlier (3.2/3.3) was roughly 10 hours for me, sometimes 12. The 14500s are good batteries and they hold 3.7v for a long while. However, I have burnt a few juices with a freshly charged one coming in at 4.2v and there is a noticeable drop-off on voltage at the back end of the day. I love the BB as well: sturdy, nice button, compact. It comes with a native 510.

I mentioned the ∞ because of the aesthetics factor. I can vouch for the Buzz's quality and workmanship and am sure the same attention to quality and craftsmanship is in place for Buzzkill's newest offering in the PV world.

:)

PS - My understanding is that LR atties were originally created to mimic higher voltage on lower voltage PVs and were not meant for use on battery mods...

^ Almost every MOD video review I see is someone slapping a LR atty on a big battery mod. I dunno, I honestly just think the new tech in the attys is better than the old.

Forgot to comment on the buzz / Infinity.. The buzz, I don't like... I want to like it, but it looks like a lightsaber. I get the feeling it's made to look like a tactical flash light. The infinity is on the right track, but it's simply not original.. it feels like a copy cat version of the precise without the finesse. .

A big battery mod, such as any using a single 18650, is perfect for LR atomizers. Since they're not high voltage, they won't fry the atty. And, they have the capacity such that the battery isn't stressed by powering the atty. That's what LR atomizers are for! To simulate HV vaping with 3.7 volts.
With LR attys and big batteries, I see no point in high voltage. Variable voltage, perhaps ... if price isn't a problem and gadgetry is a plus. AND, if one's taste is discriminating enough to appreciate the difference in slight voltage changes in their effect on various juices. Having said that, I haven't tried HV as of yet ... I'm just going on conclusions, evaluations, and reviews that other people have made. For me, LR plus big batt is where I'm at.

For what it's worth, I was involved in a discussion here on ECF regarding the possibility of incorporating an LCD or LED data display on a PV shortly after I joined ECF, i.e. close to a year ago. The idea was thoroughly poo poo by most of the participants. Now, there's the ProVari, getting widespread praise, LOL.

It's almost mail delivery time here. Will it be P18 yet? ha, not likely ... but, I can hope.

i still think the kaji ali'i is best but hard to get
how can you beat that mod though
and the vv needs no screwdriver, juice fed , am i missing anything
o ya , its beautiful , sexiest mod ever in my opinion
YouTube - My Favorite: New Ali'i Bottom Feeder e-cig box Mod: Demo and Review from RnR Manufacturing
check it out

Not interested in a box mod at all wood, but I do agree that would like nice on a table. The wood is very cool almost retro which I dig. However, I'm looking for something portable and well constructed, suck as the Precious-L or the Precise P18, or even ProVari I haven't made up my mind yet.. Leaning toward the P18.

I appreciate your input though. That thing isn't for me though, sorry

If not having a locking button is ok for you then the Precise is nice, but i went with the GG mods because i just can't imagine taking a mod out with me where i can't lock the button. Especially with atty's and big batteries, i don't wanna burn a hole in my nice coat :D

Simple solution: While not in use, remove the atomizer.

You might want to check out the Megalodon that electronicstix.com will be releasing in about a week it can use 18650 and 16340 batteries. YouTube - Megalodon... (the Don)

I'll be posting about the Don pretty soon. I won one this summer and they e-mailed me a couple of days ago saying it would be sent out soon. It sure looks like a nice model.

For the OP I think as long as you go with a 14500 or larger battery you shouldn't have any problems with using LR atties. I normally vape a 3.7 volt box mod that I built and it handles LR atties with ease. However, I don't think you want to go any lower than that.

Anyone with an 18650 Precise want to weigh in on their experience with it? is it an every day carry?
I don't fit the bill (yet) to answer your question.

I will offer though, that I do not plan to make my P18 my goto PV, simply due to its price. The body alone costing 4x as much as a TorneGo, and my uncanny ability to lose things ... just doesn't seem like a good idea to me, LOL. I plan to use it at home and out on special occasions and get togethers ... definitely not to the workplace. I etch my initials in my tools at work, that just lets the thieves know who they stole them from though. Not planning to etch my P18!

But, let's hear from current owners! :)
