This frustration battle is running out of fuel and ideas. I have been battling with Health Canada, Health and Safety, Treasury Board Secretariat since 2014 and nothing, they cannot provide me any information yet I am left going outside beside smokers and labeled as a Smoker. I am looking at other countries that have successfully adapted the “vaping” aspect but as I try to be provided justification to this ongoing battle, nothing I mean nothing, no current update on scientific evidence.
Now because of a communiqué has been officially sent to all public servants mentioning prohibiting me to vapor in public “does not permit the use of e-cigarettes inside office buildings. You are asked to use this product outside.”
Yet I continue to battle but I am not a pro in writing politically correct letters to them… This is going to far…As far my manager harassing me that if I fail to oblige by these rule that it could be considered as insubordination and it could lead to disciplinary measures. (Yet I am not vaping indoors).
This was sent to me and me only, why because I vapor and no one else on my floor and he knows that I actually go outside with “no-vaping” sign around letting vapors know they need to go 9 feet of the building.
Questions that they cannot even answer and feel they do not have obligation to answer me.
When did it come to the point that, even when we speak or tell the public, we have no more voice and committees and chairman are pulling tricks that do not exist out of thin air?
Where do we draw the line?
What else can we do…?
“As e-cigarettes are a relatively new product and there is little research on the long-term health impact and safety of their use, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat has advised federal departments and agencies that the use of e-cigarettes in the workplace is prohibited.
Recently, Health Canada has stated in an advisory that e-cigarettes do not fall under the Non-smokers' Health Act, which regulates smoking tobacco and tobacco products in the federal workplace. This non combustible product falls within the scope of the Food and Drugs Act.”
And I would love to know where they get there information and why isn’t it been release to the general population?
As my employer is mocking me saying "I told you so" around other coworkers, I fell that even complaining will do absolutely nothing.

- Can the vapor be a health danger to public?
- Can using non-nicotine electronic cigarette be a health danger to public?
- How can a “so call advisory” be applied when no evidence what so ever has been claimed by Health Canada?
- Health Canada is miss-leading the public without having any evidence and if so, should these finding be provided to the public?
