I would like to see some test results before I made this purchase.. even though it is not that expensive.. is it accurate? It only goes to 5 volts but can push 15 watts? I am intrigued by this unit and am gonna keep my eye on it!
I'm no expert, but by looking at an OHM/watt chart, not many settings over 5 volts is in the green range unless one wants a 5Ω head.
The MiD seems a lot more sophisticated (software-wise) than the eVic. And it can handle 8 volts/25 watts! But if I understand correctly (listened to the RY4 radio interview a few minutes ago) you'll have to buy different software modules for it? I would never do that.

Not overly impressed. Now if it made coffee? Always on the lookout for a good vaporizer that makes espresso!
You could always just mod your coffee maker with a voltage regulator and 510 connection.
This would make a great starter kit for a tech savvy smoker. If the GUI is easy to understand learning about vaping and tracking progress is all there.

I just checked, and the Janty takes a 16340 1000 mAh battery. That's a CR123A. Let's see, draw 25 watts and how fast does the battery drain?
No it takes two batteries (apparently looking like 16340, but proprietary High Drain as they said)

I hope to have my eVic in the mail soon. It'll be interesting to find out how it really is, performance wise. Time will tell, durability wise.
Especially durability wise for my personal concern....
I bought an iTaste (hopefully with 2 batteries in a quite cheap co-op). One battery is already dead, I confess it falls one time but only one time, so too many electronics in one small device can obviously have side-effects
