Sort of.
Ovale is actually a joint venture between an Italian pharmaceutical company, joyetech and a Korean distributor.

Actually, OVALE Korea, developed Nearly ALL joytechs products. Joytech owns trademark and ovale holds patents. It just bugs me a little when ppl blow off their mouths about things that they don't understand or in theri ignorance think they do.....Not referring to any one here.

Italia provides Nic, flavors and bottling, Ovale Korea does R&D, joytech spits out the manufactured products.

Am I the only person who thinks this thing looks like it dropped off Robocop?

On thing that nobody has pointed out is :

- When changing the battery, how about the settings ?
Is there any flash memory in it to retain your settings, or a capacitor (but you have to make it in less than 10-15 seconds ? or... ?

Not sure if it saves settings or not as this was designed with a built in charger. Meaning, they aren't expecting you to remove the battery all that much. If it DOES lose its settings, you can restore them via a PC. So just leave that battery alone for the most part and only remove it if you drop your device or bang it around and want to make sure the battery has no visual damage.

I'm not totally sure, but I suspect it maintains memory. I should be able to give an answer to this in a few weeks. I ordered one from a co-op, but I don't know delivery date as of yet.

Sexier, maybe, innovative, yes, as durable, I doubt it will ever be. The Provari still has it's place, and will surely upgrade to meet the market changes at some point.

I'm going to get a eVic, but still want a Provari at some point.

Sleeker, longer, sexier than a ProVari. And is going to look a little disturbing when it comes out in pink.

In a few weeks, I should already have it at home as I'm also part of a co-op in Europa which is almost ready to roll to China :)
SO I'll probably have my answer before you...

Being able to easily unscrew the electronics and place it in a new tube = game changing
Built in charging with a non-proprietary battery = game changing
Instant and free firmware upgrades = game changing

Tell that to my svoemestos...they then changed the game a year ago :p

Ovale themselves confirm they're a joint venture:

No need to guess which Chinese company is part of the joint venture.
