Mine is from joyetech. Bought it in Germany.

I've got one coming soon... I'm looking forward to see what you think.
By chance, do you have any Kanger T2/T3's? I'd like to know if they fit this.
pbusardo just posted a review on the lavatube today and it looks pretty good to me. However, Ovale USA just got the evic in stock today so I had to order that oneYippie! My wife is going to be ......! lmao! Oh well..
ON site now, but OOS

Saw a lot of talk (and a link) about custom tube mods which would allow us to use different sized batteries. I'm actually wondering if if eGo-T Mod tubes are interchangeable with this unit. I was browsing around the JoyeTech site and the tubes looked very similar. It would still be 18650, but a semi-official color mod might interest some (or maybe just me). I could just buy the control head unit and use my blue eGo-T Mod tube if they are interchangeable. Would make a stunning PV IMO.

Edit: Hmmm, somewhere I had gotten the impression the screen text and icons lit up in blue. Looking back it seems to be white. Maybe a color selector in the software for V2?
The software updates are probably minimally helpful. Bug fixes and small improvements "Hey! The readout of ____ is clearer in this version and we added average puff duration to the statistics.". meh. Most significant feature changes require hardware changes.
I doubt it will be open source/customizable....(in other words, you won't have source code or specs, can't modify it yourself. Why would you want to? "Hey...my e-cig plays 'happy birthday' on the 30th of December!" ...if it even has a speaker of some sort. meh.).
But who knows for sure.
Vappa- what kind of switch does it have and where is it located ? I cant see it in any of the pics I've looked at so far.![]()
On this site, the first picture, the right eVic, there you see the button at the left side. It's a plastic button that has a chrome color. It sticks out just a little bit so you can feel it and find it in the dark. It has a clicky feeling when you push it. Nothing wrong with it.
I put some plus and minus remarks on a Dutch forum with a description on my findings. I will translate it tomorrow and place it here.
In short: i like it. But vape wise i think the Vamo is better, as it's easier set on Voltage and Wattage then the eVic. Also, the eVic is not a true VW device. You set the Watts, it calculates the corresponding Voltage based on your vaping device and sets this as the new Voltage. In the main screen you still adjust the Voltage, not the Wattage. That is a big bummer that will hopefully be corrected with a new firmware version for the eVic.
