Hi Everyone,

I'm pretty new to vaping. Just started last week and I haven't had any analogs since then.

Though I do like vaping overall, and I have already seen benefits of over analog, I'm getting a little annoyed by the taste of it.

It seems that any liquid that I vape, by night time, it ends up tasting the same. I want to say that it ends up tasting like nicotine. I somehow lose the flavor of the liquid itself and end up only tasting the nicotine or the PG

These are the flavors I have tried and the strenght is always either 11mg or 18mg.

1. 555 & D-K Tab from Cignot
2. 555 & Kent from nhaler
3. Kent & Turkish tobacco from LiteCig

So, my question to all the experts:

1. Am I doing something wrong? oh, I use the Joye510.

2. Is it because I'm using the tobacco flavors? And by nature, they all end up tasting alike?

3. Is it the Dekang fluid? And I need/should try like Halo or TW - something that is not made in China?

4. Has anyone else experienced this? Go, I hope I'm not the only one 8-o

Any Help would be appreciated! Thanks!!!

Many of us lose the sense of taste at some point or another and need to change off to a different flavor.

Every night though? 555 tastes like Kent? That's unusual.

Just a thought... you may not be hydrating yourself enough. PG is a humectant. Perhaps your taste buds are dehydrated by the night time?

Thanks skyward! Glad to know I'm not the only one!! :) Wonder if I should invest in a different kind of e-cig? Maybe a 901? Whose ry4 do you use?

Richie, I don't want to say they taste "exactly" alike. But something in the liquid (nicotine, PG, or whatever) is so overpowering, that it subdues the other flavors. I want to say it's nicotine that I'm tasting; however I'm not 100% sure. As far as hydration, that could definitely be the problem. I don't drink much water. So, that very well could be playing a part in this.

So, you guys don't think it's the Dekang liquid? This kind of thing could also happen with TW or Halo liquid?

Thanks again!

I am not sure if this is the place to post this but I can't start a new thread. This sort of goes along with this topic.

I have been vaping since Nov. 09. I haven't had an analog since Dec.09. Some days when I vape I get no satisfaction. Sometimes the liquids just don't taste like they usually do and I don't get any TH. I use 18-24mg of nic and sometimes 0mg. I use the vapor king PV. I have used numerous brands and I go through this with all of them. Yesterday I was using all of them and nothing tasted right and just didn't satisfy at all. On days that don't satisfy, by the end of the day I can't taste the difference between any flavor. They all taste the same. Now today it is great. I am just wondering if anyone else goes through days like that or is it just me.

amrdh5, I feel for you! I was getting really annoyed last night, because I kept tasting the nicotine/PG instead of the real nice 555 flavor that I usually taste. I keep saying nicotine, but maybe it's not nicotine and some tobacco flavoring they put in there.

It's almost like when you put an analog in a cup and let it sit there and it gets all yellow. Then you throw the cig out and drink that cup of water! Yuck!

What kind of flavors do you normally vape?

amrdh5, I'm wondering if the quality of juice is playing a role in this? Where do you normally get yours from? From what I have read, all juices are Dekang based except for TW and Halo. (someone correct me if I am wrong). And though Dekang is fine for a majority of people, some of us are a little more sensitive.

I have placed an order for some TW juice, and will post back if I notice a difference in vaping quality.

DC2, I do not. Should I get into the habit of doing that? I was looking thru some Youtube videos on how to clean it (with coke and then draining and all).

I was asking because I thought maybe your were accumulating gunked up juice in the atomizer throughout the day, and it was getting a bit crusty and burned tasting, and then you were letting it drain overnight, and that was why it was okay in the morning.

It doesn't sound like that is what is going on.

But if you want to clean it I highly suggest using this method...

Thanks Christie!

So, what do you vape normally? And then do you just keep a separate atomizer/cart for the Atomic Cinnicide so you can switch anytime?

I usually have about 4 or so different flavors going at one time - all in their own atty. Right now I'm vaping TV Pina Colada and Cafe Mocha. I have extra batteries and a USB pass through so I can switch back and forth between flavors. I'm a heavy vaper - all day long - which is why I think my taste buds seem to die at night.

I also rinse my mouth out and gargle with Listerine and that seems to help too. And drink a lot of liquids.

I drink a lot of water. Does the rinsing with mouthwash help. I will have to try that. I usually use different cartos for the different flavors. After I refill the cartos they seem harder to draw on though.

I've been vaping for only about a week too and am having a similar problem with taste. I'm using a MVPro I purchased from saveasmoke.com (I think it's a 901?). It seems like a sickly sweet almost burnt flavor. I taste it even when I tried my unused spare atomizer with a totally blank mouthpiece so I know the flavor is coming from the atomizer. I daringly tried soaking one of the atomizers in diet pepsi for 20 minutes and it reduced the nasty taste slightly. And I learned I should not then taste the diet pepsi..really, really bad! lol I don't know if soaking it longer would be be of more help?

awassi, that's a good way to describe it. Kind of like a stingy sickly sweet taste (maybe a little burnt).

LOL on the pepsi cleaning bit.

I seriously think it's the Dekang fluids. I have placed an order for some Totally Wicked (TW) juice and also JC Tenn. cured. Those two are made in UK and US respectively. I'm hoping the ingredients they use are of higher quality and that will take care of this.

DC2 - thanks for the cleaning instructions. I'll follow them tonight. I did use moobyghost's youtube video instructions y'day to blow it out and do a dry burn. I didn't however run the water through it; which is in your instructions, so I'll try it tongiht.

armdh, you are right on the money with having to exhale through the nose to taste it. I taste all juices better when I exhale through my nose. I don't think it's your allergies ; cause I don't have any right now :)

I saw someone mentioned TastyVapor and or DIYFlavorShack. I'll have to give those two a try. More money spent on juice!! God, I have spent close to $50 bucks in the last two days ordering juice between TW, JC and VaporTalk! So, here goes more money!!! :p
