Hi!!! :) I just started vaping about 5 days ago and after a lot of research and reading and asking questions I decided to get a Smokeless Image Volt e-cigarette. Check out their thread! http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...87974-official-smokelessimage-com-thread.html There are a lot of people there who love their Volts and are very happy to answer any questions you may have! They helped me tremendously and helped in my making my decision to get a Volt! I love my Volt and am soooo happy I got it!!! I wish you the best!

cootie- are any of these answers confusing to you? They were to me when I first started out. I had about 20 open tabs on my browser Googling everything, but then again I was completely clueless (kind of still am- I'm still a Noob).
For instance, I couldn't find a quick answer on what the difference was between an ECho-T, A and C, and say, a kGo.
I still only have a vague idea between what is a Kr808D-1 and Kr808D-2.
I also used to think that the size of the battery was determined by length (it is, sort of- some are larger in diameter).
And, what was a Mod? Well, it's an eCig that's been modified. I used to think it was a brand. Not all of the abbreviations are covered in the abbreviations link, despite everyone's best attempts at updating.
Then, there's the horizontal coil vs the vertical coils.
CE2's and CE3's?
And the ever ongoing discussion between which is better- the atomizers coupled with cartridges instead of the combo cartomizers? Automatic vs manual batteries? The list goes on and on...

Never mind all of that.
I found the best thing to do for me was to get started on something stronger (I was after more throat hit, but I didn't know how to explain it, reaaly). I knew intuitively that anything would be stronger than my prior eCig experience since it had been 3-4 years since I tried them before, and the rest would come in time.
It's coming to me now slowly, but now that I have a decent start up kit (and a few toys) the quest for specific knowledge is not as urgent as it was from the beginning- it's a shame there aren't more stores that carry this equipment- but this Forum is priceless.

I wound up getting the kGo on advice from my first post.

Don't feel silly asking questions! That's what we're here for.

I have tried most ecigs, and the best one for me is an ego battery, at least 1100 mah with Smok dual coil cartomizers. Lots of vapor, no leaking, and it holds 5 ml of juice, so you don't have to keep adding juice all the time. I carry one extra battery and a bottle of juice. If the cartomizer plugs up, it's easy to clean and re-use. I save $65 per week. My initial cost was one carton, maintenance cost is 3 packs a month. Saving enough for a nice car payment.

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to start out with the ego kit. Only one question, is any one brand kit as good as the others?
I can only speak from a noobs perspective, but I have been very satisfied with my 2 KSD eGo VV Passthroughs and Boge LR cartos. Even the DCT that was shipped with the batteries work extremely well. Do yourself a favour and get a bridgeless 501 atty and some drip tips for dripping. Purest heaven awaits!

I am a newbie myself, but what I can tell you is that yes there is a whole lot better out there. Hahaha I had a Blu at first and felt the same as you. Once i was serious I got an Ego kit and dripped. That in itself was ok for about a day hahah. then I was on a quest to find another way to vape on it. I tried so many types of carts/ cartomizers/tanks along with juice until I found the mega ego cartomizors. Once I found them and some good juice I was unsatisfied! It takes time to learn and you will just read as many posts here as you can and experiment until you find what makes you happy!

I have had a RN4072 and also a Joyce 510 and just recently purchased a e-Power 2800 with a Dual Coil Cartomizer Tank . I mainly picked this from Vapor Alley since I wanted to get away from conventional e-cigs and didn't want to have to keep dripping/filling liquid up every 10-15 minutes. The 6ml tank will hold a nice amount of e-liquid and the battery of 2800mah from what I have heard reports on lasts easily 10+ hours before needing a charge.

My next e-cig is going to be a copper probably the Q2v3 mainly since the copper e-cig mods have no parts so nothing to break and also being able to vape at 6volts will be a nice addition.

Get the ego that has the biggest battery. If it has an 1100mah battery or a 1000mah battery, that's good. I have a Kgo, and like it. Don't know that much about Ego.

The new e-Power has 2800mah battery and I think not sure but you might be able to slide a 18650 3100mah battery instead in it.

Nope. Just pay attention to what voltage the unit you choose is. There isn't one voltage that is better than another, as you can compensate for it by changing the resistance (ohm) of the attys and cartos you use on it.

Avoid the T models that have tankomizers included. People have a lot of trouble with those. Your best bet is to stick with cartomizers.

FYI The original eGo is made by Joyetech. SLB makes the KGO, Kanger makes the vGo, and Eastmall makes the Riva. There are others that escape me at the moment.

Hope this helps. :)

I am looking at this e-Power for myself. Ego E-Power Combo It uses the 18650 battery. After having my Kgo battery get fried in the wrong charger, and realizing it is $19 to get a replacement battery, I decided that the E-Power will be my next back up. The batteries are $6.00 or so!

Couple dollars more you could get the same e-Power I mentioned from VaporAlley with 2800mah instead of 2200mah batteries and also choose the Dual Coil Tank all for about $10 more.

Biggest reason I even went Vapor Alley instead of where I normally buy / bought from was I really hate how companies are pushing the old e-cig technology by making you get Cartridges with your starter packs instead of allowing you to pick a Cartomizer or Tank solution.

Cartridges really were the reason why I gave up smoking my RN-4072 penstyle and even my Joyce 510. It is a pain having to either choose to drip into the atomizer or fill the Cartridges every 10 or so drags.

I personally wish I would have gone the Tank solution originally and not wasted so much money on Cartridges.

My Kgo came with cartridges that went right in the trash. How do you like the tank? I have never tried it; heard they leak.
