Could it be that the main body is a tad too long? I think that there was a thread on here a while back about a similar issue, and they found that the body was a few mm too long.

The issue you are referring to is not related to the length of the battery compartment. It had to do with the spring catching on the threads below the battery compartment. The solution was shaving off the bottom slightly to make sure it doesn't happen....

Thanks Vlad you the men. I added 3 of these washers and guess what it fires!!!! They run around inside but it fires!!!! If I would just have my Reo here with the bigger bat to give it a shot but I sadly don't. At least I don't have to smoke a cig now I was about to do that because I was going crazy.

if that is the case I would be more then upset since David's PV's are normally so perfect. Check out the video and let me know what you think. If you want another video or anyone else with something particular let me know.

What is causing you the play is you are using an IMR 18650 battery, which is several MM shorter than the AW 18650 2600mah battery that the unit is set up for. Your unit should come with Two .100 thick Orings (one pre-installed the other in your parts bag, though sometimes the .070 is preinstalled) and two .070 Thick Orings, in your parts back. Generally, install two .100 thick Orings for the IMR 18650. (.200 total thickness). You can also mix and match the orings for different combinations of thickness. .070, .100, .140, .170, .200, .240, .270, .340 to fit most any battery combo.

Once you set up the correct Oring thickness, you'll need to add a couple of washers to the brass button post, also included with your parts kit. Adjust according to your button travel preference by adding or removing washers.

I'll post up a pic here shortly of the difference in height between an AW 18650 P2600 and an AW IMR 18650.

Edit: here is the pic:

Here is picture to illustrate the length difference. Personally, i recommend running the AW P18650 2600mah, it fits like a champ (no fiddling with Oring manipulation required, just drop it in as delivered from Super T and Vape) and has plenty of amperage to run an LR atomizer and outlasts an IMR. As far as two Lifepos, they are 16mm wide, vs 18mm wide for 18650's, so they have large wall clearances.

Oh man what a nightmare I had the past 2 hours guys.

David: Thanks for your pm and reply. I have the big boy bat's but sadly not at home today so I was stuck with the red one in your picture. See I am still a newb if I get new unit's such as the P-18 and if anyone would tell me the newb that the bottom is an actual SCREW then I would have been able to solve the problem myself.

Thankfully a great Precise owner gave me his number (Vaporologist) and he explained me that I just need to unscrew the bottom and insert these small metal things I think they are called "washers". What I did was I put them on the bottom of the battery so they were flying around inside.

Maybe I am just extremely stupid but now after knowing this thing is an actual screw (thanks Vaporologist) I FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK!!!

Now all that is left to say is thanks David for my second piece of art provided by your magical hands and skills, Thanks to Vaporologist for the call and the BIG BIG BIG help you gave me I cannot say it enough.

Now enjoying my P-18 with some Malty toffee and the new Drip tip from David. After 2 hrs I am finally the happiest person on these forums sorry guys I just am!!

Path: You will love yours it vapes like no other and if a girl see's me using it she will jump on me the P-18 is just that sexy.

That's what it was...I couldn't remember exactly.

Glad you got everything worked out!!! Now all you have to do is pick up a P16 to complete your collection!!! My P18 should arrive on Tuesday so this is going to be a long weekend of waiting.

Good to hear you got it up and running!

A big thanks to Vaporologist, i owe you one :)

BTW, did you get instructions with your Precise? I apologize if you didn't as there is supposed to be instructions in there. They describe adding or removing Orings to accomodate different length batteries and addding and removing washers from the Centerpost to adjust button throw, they don't, however, include pictures which i need to add to them to make them more "Precise".

Have a great weekend and enjoy your Precise!

Thanks for getting back at me David and No they did not include any instructions at all. As said I normally get Pv's to work I just don't like messing with anything when I don't know what I am doing. After I was told how it has to be done I laughed at myself and got it done in less then 2mins.

Looking forward to tonight some NHL finals and my PV with a glass of wine what could be better then that? Nothing period.

Thanks again ya'll.

Mine with the AW has no o-rings and a little play. Lost some time ago. I keep meaning to look into the o-rings but they're no ton the Super T sight for ordering (or are they?).

Anybody have a pic of the o-rings that come installed and in the kit? And measurements? Thanks, -Magnus

Shoot me your name and address in PM and i'll get you out a couple of .070 and .100. You don't want to run without them as they also serve as an insulator and if the bottom wrapping wears through on your batteries, they could short out easier.
