P3 & .5ohm coil question

Because I'm impatient and don't want to wait for ProVape to reply to my support ticket:)...

If I'm using a .5 coil on a P3 (for example a subtank mini using a .5 coil) will I still be able to use the full 20 watts of power or am I going to lose some wattage since .5 is the lowest the P3 will fire at (amp limit, etc.)

The amp limit is for the atomizer. When ProVape decreased the minimum atomizer resistance to 0.5 ohms, they needed to increase the amp limit to 6.5A in order to achieve 20W at that load. Actually, it would be capable of delivering 21W before hitting the amp limit, but they built-in a 20W wattage limit too. The resistance of the atomizer has absolutely nothing to do with the current drain from the battery in a regulated mod - the wattage does.


So, yes.
