Well, I must say that customer support from P4Y is really BAD.
Have written them several mails cause the little bag with extfra screws was missing on my device and asked them to send me one of those bags or at least telling me which size the screws must have.

Also after 2 weeks now...NO RESPONSE.

Have written also via Facebook on their page...also NO RESPONSE.

I mean okay, I know the size now already thanks to our board here, but I´m really disappointed about their "service".

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
Already done that...but the thing is, it´s not the "fault" of the shop cause the mod was packed originally, so seems like somneone has just forgotten to put the screws in the box :)

I dont expect an answer after few minutes, but 14 days without any contact is not really good...

Doesn't surprise me at all actually , i bet P4U has washed their hands of dealing with issues after they leave their factory and are leaving it up to the vendors and their USA based service center to deal with the problems. Contacting the service center in the USA or your vendor would be the way to go .

Now if i can only pin down the info for their service center , another issue entirely lol.

Seems P4U is solely focused in putting out the next latest and greatest but thats like most manufacturers.

On another note , not having the screwdriver is not a big deal, it's a piece of crap anyway , i am going to order a bunch of the same size screws from Fatdaddy as the threads are far better.

Unrelated to this but in the other thread I am trying to compile a list of the best batteries for this device that are 1600 mah and above, ill buy them and test them for sag drop on my ipv2, so herb you should check it out, maybe start the list

I don't like how hot the vtc5s get... they scared me when I got them after using a vtc4 and mnke. I'm really interested in the Samsung 25r..but isn't it a Li-ion? ICR

Edit- but I've cause sparks to fly out of a vtc5.. I just got off work...sucks. Revolves around the customers. We turned their power back over to them 6minutes before we said worst case would be..so w007. Electrical cabinets should be made to access the equipment in them.lol. I commented to an engineer about something like that. He replied, "as an engineer, I don't care how it is to maintain it.. just get it out the door." Similar to P4U...;)

Have not experienced that heat with my VCT5's. Got them 2 weeks ago with my IPV. I use my VCT4's sometimes on weekends when I am chain cloud vaping ;)

I definitely want a similar mod with 2 batts now.

They're INRs (Lithium Manganese Nickle) I have a couple and have used them in the IPV. Pretty good batts. Lasts just as long, if not longer, than my VTC5s.

Welp. Interesting thing. There has been quite a bit of debate about the vtc5. In fact if you look around reddit, calivapes, VU and ECF, quite a lot of people have said that the vtc5 have a tendency to heat up when pulling more than 18 to 20amps.

When Nitrobex was a guest on a VapeTV show he mentioned that he uses the VCT4s for competition rather than VCT5s. He said that this was because of the lower mAh the VCT4 will discharge more quickly when the mod is fired or something very close to that.

I would guess that VCT4 might be a bit happier meeting the demands of boost circuit when you are asking it to produce high watts, particularly if chain vaping. However, it would take someone who understands boost circuits and batteries very well to say for sure. That person would not be me.

My old beat up mnke has less load voltage loss(on ipv display) than my new vtc5, and I'm agreeing with the vtc5s not being 2600mAh...since I'm getting pretty close run time out of my 1500mAh mnke..

I'm curious to test batteries with resistance wire, and then, another with wire made for conduction/non-resistance wire.

I dont know if it is the case in the u.s. also, but here in germany we found out that there are a lot of fake vtc5´s on the market.
maybe thats why some getting hot?

i changed from vtc 4 to the samsung 25r now, cause i noticed that when firing they break in noticbly less then the konion...I mean the drop of the battery symbol while firing... ;-)

^do you turn your ipv off?

I notice it has some hella parasitic drain if I leave it on all night, and the screen seems to randomly stay on for a long time...it doesn't fire. I've watched and listened for it....

The only time mine gets turned off is when I sleep, the rest of the time I just lock it.

My screen is only on for 10 seconds if I fire with the normal button, 60 seconds if I use the touch button. I have timed mine and it is exactly 10 and 60 seconds.

Edit
Unrelated but I have really been enjoying using the touch sensor to fire it. I take my first puff using the normal button to wake it then take my following hits using the touch sensor until it goes back to sleep.

At the very least it will make my fire button last longer since I use it less.

hi, that thread is just gigantic already, i want to know if theres a fix for the issue i have.......

the ohms reading change all the time and fire wrong due to wrong ohm reading......

probably this have been answered before but i cant reads all of those 250 pages lol

i know that mod wont regulate down but im not very familiar with this since its my first APV
anyway i think my build is in the fire range it's a 1.34 ohm coil in a kayfun lite plus i'm trying to fire at 16 watts but the mod read from 1.3ohms to 2 ohms

One of the screws not being tight on your Kayfun can cause the oHm reading to fluctuate. Also, make sure that the 510 connection is solid but don't torque down the Kayfun hard, just gently but firmly. If the oHms fluctuate on a prebuilt topper there may be something amiss with your IPV2 and you should contact your vendor.

A 1.3 oHm coil should fire in regulated mode between 14 and 50 watts. I posted a spreadsheet and simplified chart that will let you know what combination of watts and oHms will keep you in regulated territory for the IPV2.
