It displays 1 ohm when there is no atomizer connected. Is the screw in to far?
Dont worry..it normal at 1 ohm wo attys..nothing to do with the screw

You should get a spike to max voltage, and a quick drop to ~7 Volts... whatever I said in my post when I measured different crappy batteries.
I would be shocked if they don't keep their word , that would be a monumental mistake , although i doubt even that would sour the love affair some seem to have for them.

Not wanting to pull us back off the constant elev8 discussions that seem to perpetuate through these threads, but I am constantly getting about a 1/3 battery sag off of almost any resistance that I throw on it. I am running everything between 0.5ohms - 1.4ohms. Any thoughts on this? I have tried different batteries but this seems to be constant. Just looking for any suggestions that can be provided here.
Battery sag may just be a visual artifact of the load being supplied. It is possible that the battery monitoring circuit isn't working like it should when you hit the fire button. Analog to digital readings take time and the sampling rate can't get a good read in the time given. You could have dirty contacts which you could clean with contact cleaner or just plain rubbing alcohol.... Just a few thoughts.
The main question should be am I getting x watts out like the display says?
Edit: Battery sag isn't that big of a deal as long as the voltage doesn't go below 3.3 volts which is the voltage is needed to drive the microcontroller and the regulator board. The regulator board should give you what you are dialed in for as long as the input voltage is within specs. Current is more important in this setting and as long as your battery has enough current to supply the regulator you should be good to go.

Exactly. That was my impression too: send it back to em and they'll take care of it.
However their response back to me was just to send it straight to asmodus and quote them as the vendor.
So yeah. They're definitely NOT taking care of the warranty whatsoever

I stumbled upon this thread and good to see there is a thread on the ipv2 with lots of info (just finished reading the whole thread) . I have been using mine for around 1 week and so far I guess I'm lucky, no issues whatsoever with the unit. It fires good. No ohm fluctuations and so far performs better then my sigelei 20w and hana dna 30.
I have been changing batteries out after and using vtc5. Only tried once to charge it thru USB and it took me 4 hours to get it full. Too long for my liking.
I have used a plumeveil, magma, stillaire and kayfun on it. All works good.

Right. I am Saying if its reading 1ohm it doesnt think an atty is on there and the screw might be too low and not making contact. Raise the screw so you have a gap and see what it does.
^Yeah...there's a reason the P4U reps in the videos have huge gaps in between their ipv's and atomizers.
I start my day out with it backed out pretty far. It's guaranteed that the screw will back in so far, it causes the issue of fried metal and/or wicks.. which I'm sure is great for you.

no..the whole 510 connection wasnt fitted in device so all of it came out
As long as any issues with the device is taken care of without fuss for a full 12 months i'm sure most will have nothing to complain about.
Just stopping by to say that my iPV2 has been working great for eight days now. Ohm reading is stable and spot on with my ohm meter. Volt reading with inline meter is showing consistent voltage throughout the entire battery life all the way till the unit says check battery which was tested at various resistances and wattage levels. Voltage is accurate to what's displayed or just the slightest bit higher which I'd rather have a hair extra power than be underpowered like my Cana that gives about twenty eight watts at thirty watt setting. With the 510 center pin screwed down all the way almost every atty has a very slight gap but many work without the 510 pin in and sit flush. Only flaws I can find with my unit is a tiny imperfection or nick on the body and the 510 pin isn't centered exactly but neither an issue. Overall I'm satisfied and excited for the iPV3 that's on preorder.
This is my second iPV2 as the first one I received was unusable due to the 510 being loose or not press fitted correctly or something. It was able to spin in place when screwing or unscrewing the 510 pin or an atty. First one received Monday the eighteenth and immediately I tried contacting elev8 but before they got back to me later that same day I already had the unusable iPV2 in the mail on the way back to them. The second one was delivered to my house five days later on Saturday the twenty third. Maybe I was just lucky with elev8 customer service again as they displayed excellent communication and had the replacement iPV2 delivered promptly. They also said with my permission they could open it to check it before sending so of course I said yes. Elev8 remains top notch in my book and am sorry for all the folks having issues.
