Yes, but you can stick a meter probe behind the inside cover to probe the white wire. No need to punch the sticker and void your warranty to do simple continuity checks. I just did it to make sure I wasn't giving out bad advice.

You will need to remove the guts to thoroughly inspect everything visually.

This is a great vertical and horizontal dripper..if you're comfortable building series quads for verticals..or just duals...I actually haven't had any issues with the 510 since getting it. I didn't adjust the 510- so my origen will work with it still..and it also doesn't grab the screw like all my other atty's pins.:)

I haven't had time to read the entire thread, but I just got my IPV2 yesterday and found that on all three clear plastic surfaces (touch button, screen, bling strip) there was a thin sheet of protective plastic on top. I peeled all of these off and now those little scratches on those surfaces that I've read about are now gone. :)

Really digging this setup:

This was actually my first attempt...too bad I wasn't thinking, and used too much wire...I think that is perfect..but probably easier than a "normal" quad coils to lead together...but of course... sloppy seconds^...

But the build that the coils were glowing evenly, they were offset from their airflow.. so I'll take this second build over the first.

Shines great in whatever configuration, except, vertical quads and horizontal dual coils.

Edit-yeah, I posted this two posts ago. Haha....I will never show shame.:)
Oh update on 510 screw... May have already mentioned, but I've had no issues with the taj ji grabbing the screw and tightening it when I remove or put the atomizer on... weird. Still happens with ANYTHING else I put on it. Haha.

Oh..got this today too...trade:

Yeah...my fender 5string jazz looks more like my style.. I saw a 5string "dynamic"fender or whatever at another shop before I decided this was the best bet..had the neck of a 4 string...but I played a note or two across a range of settings, and put it back up...bleh. Ever play a crate bass? Lol

But I've never had action this good on a bass..

Sorry...
My IPV2 is rocking out.

You'll be surprised how fast it charges with usb...I had a vtc5 in mine for about 3 weeks without changing it out. I only use this mod at the moment also... I threw a mnke in earlier today, since it was dead an had to go to parent's for an early bday for my little girl..they think it's cool to go to Hawaii for her first birthday, without us. Lol jk.

I honestly think it charges faster than my nitecore, as long as I'm using a decent wallwart..

Job sites I usually have access to power, so no issue to just charge a lil at a time throughout the day..

But if you're concerned about getting the longest lifespan out of your battery, take it out and charge it when necessary. I plug the usb in and remove it... I'm pretty sure that counts as a cycle..batteries are cheap enough. I'll get at least 6 months out of use..so $8 for at least 6 months using the usb charging..still haven't gotten Samsung 25r(s) for mine..

I use mine at 30-50 Watts... ~0.5-1.4 Ohm coils. If I changed out my batteries, I'd probably use two a day(I think when I was messing around with this, my battery consumption was about 1 & 1/2 a battery for a typical day)... and I go through 30mLs on some days..average is probably closer to 15-20mL.

Edit-But my builds only require a second or two to go past a 10 section cloud competition measurement...I think it may be 10 feet. I don't know.

Editedit- what I'm saying in that edit, there are a lot of factors to how long your battery will last in an IPV.

Thanks SuspectK. I went with the pre-order on the IPV3 through eciggity. My decision was based more on battery life then needing all those extra watts. Of course now that I have completed my order it occurred to me that I have a work mod that eats into my day lol oh well I am sure I will be happy with this bad boy and the 12 mth warranty was a factor on this brand as well.

Ok....my logic with the ipv and smy god/other buck chip mods, using batteries in series will be to change out the batteries.

Check out the smy god... it's $120 on eBay...3 batteries in series and it's about the same size as IPV3...

Edit-But yeah..I haven't heard anything on asmodous, but the ipv's can use the provari argument...warranty and repairs afterwards...boom. and it can do everything.

Biglungs (or anyone that has messed with it), if you use a resistance higher than 3.3 Ohms (whatever the max is) will it work? I assume it will...unless the chips see it as an open circuit above that resistance.

I want an atomizer that works with AC.. kinda like a speaker.. impedance fluctuations...I don't know. Nuts and it just popped in my head, after carvin customer service explained I can't just measure a speaker with a fluke to see if the coil is intact. You see

Drugs are bad kids...they cause permanent brain damage..most of them at least.

Your question got me curious so I just built a 5.1 ohm coil and the IPV2 fired it no problem. Granted it maxes out at 14.1 watts and 8.5v with a coil of that resistance, but it still fires it. Even if you set it higher than it can achieve it just jumps back down while firing to it's max settings, then goes back to your chosen settings when you release the fire button.

Nice Bass , seems we have some musicians here (including me) , i have had a custom shop Les Paul Standard for decades lol.

On another note my iPV just started acting weird , seems when i went to turn it on nothing happened , figured out it completely drained the battery even though it was turned off .

When i put a new battery in, it works but as soon as i screw down my toppers they all fire without hitting the fire button. I'm .......

Regardless that I think you've already checked this, is your touch sensor on? It may be kicking the bucket similar to the way mine did. It worked flawlessly for weeks..then one day, it kept doing that, randomly would decide to work great for a day, and then, BOOM...autofire left and right... If you remove the battery, you will have to turn off the touch sensor if you had it off before...it not remmembering my wattage setting with changing batteries is fine by me..but I don't understand why they didn't give it some sort of cache to remember that my touch sensor is off, because it's f'd in the a.

:( sorry you are now part of the "people with ....ed up IPV's, but still use them, because they don't have another mod that performs like it" group...well I guess since you have the IPV 1, you could easily get that out of a mech, but still..ain't the same..even though I like the way a hard metal rod feels in my hand better than a fat box..haha.edit-but opposite in life outside of vaping if you're as mature as I am, when reading that last statement.

Happy to be a member actually , since i do have the iPV I , it's touch sensor never worked to begin with (at least i think it didn't). Where is this repair facility in the USA , anyone send one in yet , i think you were going to send yours in right ?

Oh yeah...forgot about that..well, mystery..kinda-a mystery if you want to keep your warranty. I'm sure one particular person in this thread can give you some tips on that. ;)

Asmodous is somewhere in California..as soon as my switch is fixed on my Gus, I may use my warranty... unless, we only get one repair under warranty..cuz I'm messy even when I'm neat..and I like my touch sensor.. I'd rather it stay broke than get fixed to screw up again.

And one time repairs under warranty? Or can I screw mine up again and get it fixed before next July?

I haven't seen anyone post on how long warranty repairs take so it's anyone's guess at this point. However, there is nothing in the warranty that mentions they will only do one warranty repair. You only need to send a copy of the warranty card so I'm assuming that you could send the device in more than once if any new issues would arise. If they get difficult about doing more than a single repair if needed there will be nastyposts about it all over the e-cig forums which is not good for sales.
