I believe the 2900mah version allows for a 10A continuous discharge. From the answers I got from asking a similar question the 2900mah version would work well but it may be a bit too long, the REO was designed around an AW IMR18650 button top.
No the Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mAh has a 6.8A max discharge, as long as to OP remains above a 1 ohm resistance there'll be no problem. The thing is I believe it needs to be a button top battery and not a flat top.

I have these and it took a while to get the cool heated up at 2 ohms. I think they are not high drain but not completely sure. Only high drain imr gives me good coil heat up for some reason. But no biggie I just stuck those batteries with my vamo in my desk. Lol
