If you're looking for a really restrictive dl, or an honest mtl, rda, the vapefly holic is worth a look.

Wide open it's more restrictive than the galaxies wide open. It's a trivially easy build deck. The side airflow controls are a simple slotted screw twist, rather than the hex heads on the galaxies.

Definitely a high flavor single coil setup.

(I'm also a galaxies fan. I have two of them, JB Welded the side airflow screws in the fully open position since that's perfect for me)

They're $20 at myvpro, or $19 at 3fvape.

(My first impression of the holic was "too tight", but I've been vaping it a full day and it's definitely growing on me,)

Hanging out waiting for the Hellbeast to come on sale somewhere. I'm a squonker 99% of the time, and have multiple good if not latest generation rta, but it's nice to have a head-based tank around just-in-case. Probably get some vaporesso ccell heads for it, something to use on my Innokin Oceanus or just-ordered Aegis Solo.

Ya know that Scene in one of the Terminator movies where they drive out into the Dessert and pull that Metal Plate out of the sand to reveal a Huge Cache of Weapons?

I might not Have the Same amount of e-Cigarettes. And it Might not be in the Dessert covered by a Metal Plate. But you get the Idea.

LOL

Dad, are you SURE this is where you put it?

It's been doomsday since I joined here. Every few months there was a panic. Worst of course being 8/16. Lost many good members immediately prior due to drama.

:p

The worst was in 2010 when the FDA started seizing shipments of e-cigs from China.

Instead of stockpiling, I chose to fight back. Which is a good thing, because I'd be sitting on dozens of boxes of kr808 cartos and 180 mAh cigalike batteries to this day. :D

Still not panicking. Just signing petitions, writing letters, calling the White House, donating to CASAA. Of course, after almost 10 years of vaping (in December), I have accumulated a lot of vaping hardware and I always have 0.5-0.75 liter of nic base in the freezer. And some PG, VG and flavoring--minimal, because I don't like a lot of flavor in my e-juice and I often vape unflavored or just barely flavored. Suits me just fine. YMMV, of course, as always.

Vaping is not going anywhere. The only danger I see is that someone, at some time, may decide to ban nicotine base. That would be a real problem. Until such time, I'll just keep buying what strikes my fancy, like an occasional new mod, a new tank, or a box of new drop-in coils. Or maybe a pod. One at a time. If I really like it, I may get another one.

My local vape shop was getting rid of ALL their rebuildable supplies 2 weeks ago. Just not enough sales to justify them. I got 20 rolls of wire and 5 pouches of cotton bacon for $2 by agreeing to take the lot off their hands. Ok there are some wire diameters that I am unlikely to ever use (don't really use 32 gauge much anymore) but hey there is enough of the good stuff to make 2 bucks a bargain.
Take three strands of 32 and chuck 'em in a drill. Twist 'em up. What you end up with is something resembling 28 but with more surface area. My ADV coils are three strands of 30 twisted together.

I think it's okay to stock what one wants to stock.
Absolutely!

But one shouldn't complain that it hurts to stock something that isn't sensible to stock, and unless a person is physically unable to deal with RBAs, coil heads aren't sensible. ;)

Is it sensible to assume one will retain the vision and dexterity to build coils as they age over the next 10-20 years?

My own experience says no, just since 8/8/16.

I wasn't complaining. I just said it hurt. I also didn't say it wasn't sensible, actually. MOST sensible things I do hurt me deeply at the time. But, I'm happy about it later.

No pain, no coil heads. No coil heads! A travesty! I mean, I'm all fine NOW. Although I think I am going to turn off my coil head subscription service somehow I seem to get them WAY more than once a month.

This may mean a new credit card. I have had times when that is the case.

Never, ever, put subscription services on things that you just can't CANCEL and replace is my motto, because the instructions for that seem to shift before one's very eyes as you read them and also seem to involve getting actual Nigerian Prince Money like GOLD BULLION that has been proven to come from Nigeria because you can hear the screams of tiny starving children emanating from it if you hold it up to the Conch shell found next to the last Dodo Bird Skeleton. Etc. Only I dumbed it down for y'all some.

It should hurt. At your (young) age, it's silly, unless you're planning on keeping them for the day when you're too arthritic to be able to make your own for an rebuildable atty.
LOL - which just goes to show you don't know me or stols very well. Heck, I still think the best atty was the Kanger T2 - and YES, I have hundreds of them :pervy:

How do you calculate the OHMs of the coil then with twisted. I know with clapton you calculate on the core wire. With twisted would you handle it sort of like setting up a dual coil build only divide by 3 instead of 2?

I panicked and bought a tanker full of VG. It was a great deal at $24k

I don't see how resistance wire would ever be in danger though, but I bought a 1200 ft spool anyway. Kidding aside, I don't think I should ever worry about not being able to buy cotton, kanthal wire, and o-rings.

You know Temco sells spools by the pound too. I think it works out to a few kilometers of wire. Should last you a long time, and if you get bored, install your own neighborhood phone system as a cellphone backup pepper system.

Also add grub screws. You can get every size imaginable from McMaster Carr or even lots of common ones on Amazon or eBay. Another non-emergency part you don't have to grab a few hundred of just in case.
