One more question what am I measuring? ie when it says 3mm x 4mm which number is diameter and which is length and does the length include the screw head or not? Sorry I am ignorant on this stuff. Just an old lady vaper trying to sort this all out.

Screw and Bolts are often described by what is call a simple "Callout".

When you see a Metric Screw for say a Post Screw, it might have a simple Called Out of M3mm x 4mm or M3 x 4mm

The "M" in M3mm or just M3 tells you it is a Metric Thread. And the "3" tells you it is 3mm in Diameter.

If you Measure the Diameter of the Screw Threads, you will find that it is Actual a Smidge less than 3mm. This Smidge Less is for Clarence. Because it you try to put a exactly 3mm Threaded Screw in a exactly 3mm Thread Hole, it would be Very Hard to turn the Screw. If not Impossible

The 4mm in this M3mm x 4mm or just M3 x 4mm tells you what the Length of the Threads is measured from the End of the Screw to under the Head of the Screw. The Size of the Head isn't considered. But Many Times in a Detailed Specification they will give the LOA (Length Over All) which is the Lenght of the Threads + the Length of the Head combined.

The "True" Callout would also include the Thread Pitch. Which would be the Distance between any two Threads. But since Many Metric Thread are so Common as coming in Only One Pitch, which is considered "Standard", then Pitch will sometimes by omitted. And seller with just use a Simple Callout.

Here's a Vid that probably does a Better Job of Explaining what I just said...

I'm sure you can probably Find them Cheaper than the one I listed. I just Posted this one because it is Both Metric and SAE. And it had a Good Picture.

Another thing...

If you Don't know what type of Screw/Bolt you have, you can Always take it to a Hardware Store and then see what Size Nut it will fit into.

Then you will know what Size it is.

With the more normal size stuff I tend to do that. RDA screws though? I brought one to my local guy and he looked at me like I was nuts it was so small.

Edit: I used to have the local Lowe's greeter trained that when I walked in he just held out his hand. He knew I was about to hand him something and say "I need 4 of these"

I used to spend close to that in 1 month on cigs ($10 a pack for my brand here in CA)
If I had quit nicotine all together cigs and vape, the money I would have saved could have bought that tanker full of VG for $24k. But.. since I vape I'm about $2000-3000 short

I hear rumors that Trump is softening on Flavor bans. You know Trump he changes his mind a lot. I hope this is one of them times.

Who cares if they ban store bought juice with flavors? Who buys juice in the store? Best learn how to DIY.

by the time I can't build and so must use drop-in coils, all my regulated mods will have died, so I'm left with mechs.

With the number of regulated mods you probably have now...that unlikely event might only happen if/when Hell freezes over! We won't be around any more then anyway. :D

Or that Smoker who Isn't ready to Quit, but is Starting to think that Cutting Down is something they should be Doing?

Well that's who we have to fight for, not just ourselves. That's one reason I will be attending the unitedvapersalliance.org/ rally in DC when it finalizes, hope to see many of you there. Their site is down at the moment due to the immense volume of traffic :-x

They will get the chance to use tobacco flavored items or use other means to quit.

Those that want flavors will find them on the black market or make their own.

Oh, you know, just new vapers trying to kick their cigarette habits.

A quick look at the WALLS of ejuice the local shops have, there are lot more then "new vapers" purchasing all that junk.

With in months of starting vaping I was making my own juice and winding my own coils. Most of the vape stores around me don't sell anything that requires the user to "build" and sell countless replacable atomizers and "pods".

So "new vapers" and old ones alike that have not learned how to DIY will get taxed to death at the local (and online) vape stores buying product until (like me) I found this website and learned there are other ways to vaping that don't include replaceable atomizers and store bought juice.

Then again, not many like the flavor of tobacco. I sure don't.

    Exactly...

I have Everything I need for the Rest of My Life. And if e-Cigarettes were Removed from the face of the earth Today, it wouldn't Effect me in the Least.

But I would like to see People who are as Hopelessly Hooked on Cigarettes as I was have the Same Opportunity that I Did.

Because at the End of the Day, cigarettes Ruin Lives. Not Only for those who Smoke, but for those who No Longer have a Father. Or a Mother. Or a Sister or a Lover.

It's a Fight that is Worth Fighting.

But this isn't about me and it's not about you. You're not alone in disliking the flavor of tobacco, yes? A majority of people making the transition do so with fruity/bakery flavors. I also started making coils and juice soon after switching. But I'm concerned, along with many here, that if flavored e-liquid is banned it will result in one or more of the following:

    1) Less people successfully switch to vaping, meaning more people continue smoking. Not good.
    2) They will, as you say, possibly buy flavored e-liquid on the black market. I hope I don't need to explain to anybody the potential danger therein.
    3) They will, as you mention, perhaps make their own juice. I'd be shocked if the number of people that do so is high. Remember, they're not yet "converted" to vaping - they'd have to be really committed off the bat to do this, and if they do, how many of them will do it correctly? It's not hard, we both know this. But all it takes is one wrong ingredient and hey, maybe they're hospitalized.

You're entitled to your opinion. I'm not trying to change it. I do hope you understand, however, why we care.
